Once again WRONG!
Please always check the archive before making up replies.
Australia beats India 3-2 in one day series http://www-usa.cricket.org/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/2000-01/AUS_IN_IND/RESULT-SUMMARY.html

South Africa wins the 5 ODI series 3-2 http://www-usa.cricket.org/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/1999-2000/RSA_IN_IND/

Westindies beats India in 7 ODI series 6-1 Ouch! http://www-usa.cricket.org/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/1980S/1987-88/WI_IN_IND/

These are all the one day series which India lost after Pakistan toured India in 87.

Who is talking about only at home, please don’t make me post all the links in which India lost home and abroad, my hands will be tired.

Yeah, that is way we reached the world cup final in 99, and is the 3rd best ranked one day team in the world rightnow, statistically.

one day table http://www-usa.cricket.org/link_to_database/STATS/BY_CALENDAR/2000S/2001/ODI_TEAM_RESULTS_2001.html

forgte about kenya or bangladesh..
why not just compare india and pakistan and find out which team has more wins against each other, yup thas what I thought

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/wink.gif

Even all the Indian guppies in here agreed that Pakistan is marginally better than India.
Pakistan's both test and one day record is far better than India's.

Asif, u gotta be kidden!!! Pakistani cricket is alot better ever since Imran left!!!

Now to your 15 year streak... I remember you lost to Australia in an ODI series in 2000 or 2001!!! You also lost to South Africa in India as well. NOW I KNOW YOU DONT BELIEVE IN STATISTICAL RESULTS, BUT AUSTRALIA DID BEAT YOU IN THAT ONE DAY SERIES... THAT PROVES OUR POINT HERE, BASED ON STATISTICAL RESULTS, YOUR INDIAN TEAM IS INFERIOR, AND PAKISTAN IS SUPERIOR.

Its your system of ranking that places us at the 7th best team; concocted by some Indian lovers like Rediff.

Like Umair here said, we were the finalists in the most recent world cup, and that makes us second, whether you like it or not, its not our fault Zimbabwe trashed you out of the world cup way early.

Devil, 1996 was a long time back and I remember they were still kicking, and even threw you out of the world cup, and all you guys could do was pelt stones to disrupt the match, and Kambli could cry like a woman when Clive announced that Sri Lanka has won the match. Now let me see, that was 6 years ago, heh... Sri Lanka is a great team no doubt about that... Unlike you, I dont hold grudges against them when they beat us fair and square.

Umair - When did I say that Pakistan is not better than India ? I always said it is mariginally better than India but the best Asian team is SRI LANKA (you like it or not)
In Tests they are clearly better in one day pakistan is slightly above thanks to Sharjah

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/wink.gif

But you guys seem to live in Dream world and would like all of us to believe that Pakistan is the best team, sure.

AK

Remember ICC Knockout Tournament which is played two years after world CUP ? We were the Finalist beating Australia in QF, South Africa in SF, In the Final we lost to NZ thanks to Chris Cairns Innings.

My mistake - It would be West Indies in stead of Pakistan when India last lost untill Last Australia-India series.

However India won the series against SOUTH AFRICA, CHECK YOUR LINK, THE SERIES WENT IN INDIA’s FAVOUR 3-2.

How can we forget the ICC knock out tournament; Star Sports showed those two matches with India playing South Africa and Australia a million times… And how can we forget Kenya

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/smile.gif

even though that match was never aired repeatedly on star.

Well Star is in business of making money. So Obviously they will show whats will fetch money to them. And surely number ( read viewership ) is in favour of India.

Now dont tell that Star and Govt of India has conspired.

Jiyo Aur Jeene Do!!!

It comes on the second position in ASIA (after Sri Lanka) and 7th in the world which is mariginally better than India. That’s what I am saying and it is NOT a LOT (.81 vs .79)

Star Sports is not an Indian Company, It’s Rupert Murdoch’s company and he shows whatever he thinks will generate revenue for him. Who would like to watch a match against Kenya anyway(Win or lose ?) May be you guys would like to see your world cup match against Bangladesh, we dont.

Comeon playing against zim. and clinching the series you think is a big deal? its like playing "gully" cricket. play against Pak or Aust. or SA. win against them and then be proud. And come out of ur nest and play somewhere where right descison are given.

You can be proud of that cuz your umpires never give decisions against indian team which something we don't do at home. Thats the only reason you've been wining.

[This message has been edited by ehsan (edited March 21, 2002).]

Pakistan Cricket has been going down day by day and in tests it is at no. 7 ** (Only India, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are below it) **

The point here is if indians are above Pak or not. which you’ve just proved that they are NOT so no need to argue just duck urself and be quite.

Knockout tournaments are any team's chance of winning, even a third class team can win the title.
You only have one chance, if you loose you loose, the real format called Champions Trophy will test one hit wonder teams like India and Newzeland, if they are really good teams, where you will have a chance to play 2 matches then go to semis, similar to the world cup.

As far as Star Sports is concerned, I do admit that they only show matches which people would actually watch them.
One thing I disagree with is that what spock is probably talking about is star sports India, which I am preety sure that Rupert Murdoch doesn't choose which cricket matches he wants to show.

As for Bangladesh, you seem ignorant about those two Kenya Matches? TWO TIMES, HAHAHAH

Did I blame Star for not showing the Kenya matches? I am sure if they showed that a second time, they would have been banned in India... Atleast our PTV shows matches in which Pakistan lost!!!

Zeroes at home, zeroes abroad, it happens only in India...

Please keep your postings to the topic in hand.

No point in discussing the pathetic Indian team anymore... We all agree how bad it is, apart from Asif, and quite frankly I dont care, and niether should you guys... A team like India does not deserve these many posts... Ehsan, Im off this thread... Unless someone pulls me back in here...

Thanks for Sparing us, Spock.
