sorry but you are misrepresenting me on continuous basis..you are mixing up stuff.
I never said and for sure never meant to state that cosmetic constitutional tweaks shd be done to impress the world and attract tourists…sorry, that is completely wrong.
Firstly, It is quite naive to even assume that tourists/foreighn investment will start to come once we have some constitutional amendments to curb terrorism or promote secularism. Tourists/foreign investment do not care about amendments..they want to see ground realities.
If there is a peaceful situation in the country they will come even if a dictator is in rule…meaning that we need to do some practical steps - besides constitutional amendments - in next 6 months to restore at least a minimally-viable operating environment that India and brazil have and we dont (as I alluded to in my original post) so that the foreign investment starts to kick in and more importantly our own investors can also start investing in the country …
… and what are those practical steps that can be done in next 6 months? …well our army and political fraternity shd be united in getting rid of this cancer called taliban via a military operation, shut down all suspected madrassas, talk to the middle east to stop funding to these madrassas etc. ..now who is responsible for not doing all this … separate discussion and we both know each others position.
Constitutional amendments and all other parliamentary/education syllabus work shd be done in parallel with full ideological commitment ofcourse to set the country on a firm footing for a secular mindset and religiously-tolerable environment but that will of course take much more time…
