As far as offering a solution goes, hasan nisar always stresses the need for education and a popular uprising to rid us of mafias whether they be waderas or molvis. Additionally, he says that a reduced sense of self importance and a willingness to be in sync with the world, as it is and not as we would like it, will go a long way. In a nutshell, less talk of our past and present greatness and a lot more work.

That’s the gist of his argument which may not have much attraction for those basking in the undead glory of the past and unwilling to face the challenges ahead. Our religious orientation has been made to believe that Islam and science cannot co-exist, or at least they don’t have to.
