Nice to see you taking interest in my Mahan Inglistaan, perhaps I should gift you one my History books for Easter.
For starters, my Mahaan Inglistaan doesn’t even have a written legal constitution, but the outlook you referring to took centuries to achieve. Somehow some fundamentalists live in this bubble that either Secularism and Shriah can be imposed on people at whim. No, fortunately or unfortunately, it doesn’t work like this. No idiot can stand up and say, ‘right, lets just change the total outlook of our country by next Sunday’. It won’t yield any success. We don’t need some quick, cosmetic changes, we need deeply rooted, credibly, long lasting and gradual process which goes ahead issue by issue. The starting point of the process for every Mahan country usually begins with providing access to education for masses, strengthening of democratic institutions and industrialisation. So far my favorite leader is working on few of those things and hopefully, it’ll lead to something much bigger. I’m obviously no Hassan Nisar so I won’t be saying ‘no no we are doomed, even hell doesn’t want us’.
Btw, I must tell you, before my Mahaan country separated Church from State, there was a much needed and literally quite earth shattering Break from Rome some five centuries ago. Let’s see if your favourite leader has the guts to take a break from Saudi Arabia. Oh, I just read another thread stating Pakistani Army Chief has decided to raise another fresh batch of new hip Jihadists because of their Saudi Pope said so. How sad.
