I watched it this weekend it was slow and dragged. Igot bored
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
** Has the funeral been cut? **
Yes, the funeral has been cut. It was in the original drafts of the script but was eliminated. From a practical point of view, it would involve getting numerous people together including high profile actors (Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson etc) for a few seconds' screen time with no dialogue. The effects would be costly as Grawp, the centaurs and the mermaids feature prominently. Instead the students are shown giving a tribute at the end and the bit afterwards with Harry, Ron and Hermione takes place in a tower. It has been rumored that *Deathly Hallows: Part I* will open with the funeral.
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I love teen lord voldemort! Frank Dillane rocks! :jano:
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
LOL I am the queen of random events and weirdness so I guess that’s why I liked him:cb: He was awfully creepy in the movie! ![]()
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
^ I liked him too. I think he was perfectly creepy.

this rule is only made for one reason, MILLY ![]()
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
It was good...could be because I was forced to enjoy since I paid 21 dollars for my ticket :p
I am tempted to read the books now :)
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Rubbish!
Absolute rubbish.
Its lacked real imagination. The naff crying, wailing, teenage angst scenes should not have been included.
The so called special effects, blowing up a bridge in London...NAFF!
I'm not even disappointed, I just feel really embarrassed for the actors and the director for being involved in such a pile of poo they have called a movie!!!
The last 20 mins are the only mins worth phoning home about. The little gollum children made me jump (and scream) and the death scene...how rubbish! Complete and utter disregaurd for Dumblydore's life.
USELESS.
Im watching Goblet of Fire just to get over it. I'd forgtton how brilliant the 4th movies is...David Tenant and Trig from Only Fools and Horses! Plus, Cedric Diggory!
If anyone would like to get over the disappointment of The Half Blood Prince, please bring some salty popcorn!
Apart from Sweets...she can go join the Gollum children...
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Another thing that seriously peed me off is that not only did they leave out all the big things (we knew they were going to) but they also left out little random stuff like the people in the paintings moving and the ghosts. The only time a picture somewhat moved is right at the very end when dumblydoor is sleeping in his chair.
urgh
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
^I liked it. ![]()
I wanted to like it! Sachi I did!
Trust me Sahar, watch all 4 of the first movies and tell me that movie 6 is on the same par…its just not. It had no erm…magic to it. No umph factor, no, OMG its HARRY POTTER. It was dull and slow and dull and dull and just … urgh. I didnt even compare it to the book, iv stopped doing that now.
Movie 5 wasnt too bad but nothing like the first 4.
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
^ I don't think that's true. But I do think that they raised expectations quite a bit by delaying the release unreasonably and by releasing so many captivating trailers. Come on, the first and second movies are yawn-fests. I did like 5 a lot.
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I love all first 4 movies, parts of them were like reading the books, the attention to detail was so very good.
Movie 5 was ok, but they did miss out a lot of really cruical parts, integral to the overall story. I have no idea how they are going to make movie 7 worth its while...they have missed out so much. They're just milking it now...its all about the monies.
I think James Bond is to blame for the delay of the movie.
Movie one with the chess game...that was AMAZING! And so was the spider/snake stuff in movie two!
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
^ LOL true.
It wasn't James Bond; it was Dark Knight.
And since HP7 is going to be two movies, I think they'll cram most important things in.
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
^^ No it was Tiwlightttttttt
Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
In the U.K im pretty sure it was James Bond as when my cousin and I were buying tickets at the cinema for JB, we saw a HP poster and I got all clap happy and I remember the boy behind the counter saying; ' im glad HP has been delayed, people come dressed up as Witches and Wizards and expect free tickets' I asked him to explain and he said that HP was delayed due to JB.
Unless of course he was lying...he was just a boy.
^^ No it was Tiwlightttttttt
Nope, Twilight moved up its release when there was the absence of HP in November. Smart move, I think.
Milly -- it's possible it was different there. I still thought it was a jerk of a move of Rowling and company.
