Hard Rock

Iron Maiden - Children of the Damned, Communication Breakdown, Caught somewhere in time, Die with your boots on, Flash of the blade, Hallowed By Thy Name, Judas be my guide, Murders in the Rue Morgue, 2 mins to midnight and many more .. used to live, eat, sleep with iron maiden's music, but then I matured to Pearl Jam :) Cant live without PJ ...

ya I’ve heard of these guys … okayish .. nothing original .. gosh wherez the originality??? Every band had their own style, their own music .. now its all the same .. rock lived in the 60s, 70s and died in the 80s. Rebirth in early 90s and short-lived.

i wish i was born in the early 60s and enjoyed the BEST MUSIC of my time during my teenage years!! But sad enough, I had to face the ****tiest 80’s music :hoonh:

I’m glad I was old enough to live through the 80’s. The 80’s were a metalhead’s dream. I’ll never forget the 80’s.

Are Iron Maiden still around? Their stuff wasn't bad. Guns n Roses are the best hard rock group to come out in recent times. I don't like all the thrash stuff around these days so I'm out of touch. It's just punk re-packaged.

Absolutely, Iron Maiden are still around. They never really went anwhwere. They've been releasing album after album every 2 years or so, and are still going platinum. They played the Rock in Rio festival in 2001 in front of 250,000 fans, and are currently working on a followup to their "Brave New World" album. Guns and Roses were a breath of fresh air in 1987. "Appetite for Destruction" was an oustanding album. Unfortunately the flame didn't burn too long.

Guns N Roses - :k:

Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty! Ohhh take me home !!

I went to their concert (11/25/02) recently. It was 1 helluva show!! I heard Axl didnt go to his concert in December and some riots ensued that night. Later tour dates were cancelled for some reason. Axl’s a mysterious guy!

I remember in 1992 during Metallica/GnR show, when James got burned and Metallica had to leave the show in between. GnR was still there to continue, but mysteriously disappeared :hoonh:

I was also lucky enough to seem them 2 times (well at least the first time was good). First time was in 1988 opening up for Iron Maiden. That was a good show, but Maiden pretty much stole the night. The show where James got burned and AXL ruined the rest of his show was here in my city, Montreal. I was unlucky enough to be at that show, and it was a complete disaster. The riot was brutal. 60,000 fans just went nuts because of AXL’s stupidity. Wish I’d never went to that show at all. AXL recently cancelled a show in Vancouver because he never showed up. That guy has got serious problems.

Ya Axl is an idiot when it come to pleasing his fans. I think all musicians should love thier fans as much as they love their music. They live becoz of their fans and Axl lacks those qualities. I remember when a guy tried to shake his hand and pulled Axl towards him. He went on cursing that guy durin the concert :hoonh:

Exactly, it’s a shame that some musicians fail to realize that. I know, or I’ve heard on numerous occasions that Axl has been seeing a shrink constantly for the past 7 years or so. He’s apparently in pretty bad mental shape.

Not only in bad mental shape, but physical shape also, am I correct? How did he look when you recently saw them? I saw a picture not too long ago, and he was gaining some weight.

I like some Linkin Park songs, its fun-I wouldn’t agree that they are BSBoys (:yukh:) nor would I say they are hard rock.

Fret and his 80’s bands

I love alterntaive, but hard rock-ehhh, not so much Give me the Pumpkins Weezer Incubus that kind of rock

No, most rock stars don't have a bad attitude. A bad attitude towards your fans does not make a rock star.
