The best Hard Rock band in the world —>LINKIN PARK

Personally, there's nothing I find interesting in terms of Rock music nowdays. The days of great Hard Rock and metal have been gone years, and years ago. However there are some great European bands out there in the metal genre which continue to hold the torch, while the North America goes through it's next fad.
they’re hardly Hard rock ![]()
Raamstein anyone?
Du-hast baby.
(okay maybe they're not quite the type of hard rock band u had in mind..)

Raamstein are pretty cool. Very agressive and powerful.

Have you listened High Voltage ?
Linkin Park is nu metal ... its cheap, rip-off and insult to the original rock era music!! They are just Backstreet Boys with a fusion of rock.
Rammstein is just full of rage and anger! Love there music. I wish I knew german. I wonder if they are just music with stupid lyrics!
I think currently the only band that lives up for good rock is Pearl Jam.
I wish I was born in the 60's!! Ohh well.

exactly!
sehar and sharafat, you guys can go listen to songs like 'choli ke peechey' and have fun! I think all hindi and paki music is sar dard (ofcourse there are a few exceptions) excluding ghazals.
Choli ke peechay? You seem familiarized with it ;)
Pasand apni apni :)
Aatif Miyan - I am sure you have not listened to the Indian/Pakistani Music at all.
As Far as Hard Rock is concerned - It is SAR DARD.
Go to Europe ... Scandinavia ... Finland ... Sweden ... Portugal ... the future of metal lies in there, if indeed there is a future.

Exactly, I have to hand it to the South Americans, Europeans, and Scandinavians for their dedication sticking with the metal bands through the rough times that they have had (and are having) the past 11 or so years. When North America dropped their current favorite artists to follow the new trend, these guys stuck to their guns.
Audioslave … former members of Rage Against the machine (minus Rocha) with Chris cornell’s screaming vocals … will come out in mid november …
System of a Down … excellent album .. very mellow from their standard but still some serious heavy stuff.. will wet the Boy bands pants for sure
Korn .. electronia hard rock .. good album not much variety though but good stuff
Geof Tate … solo album after Queensryche demise .. good stuff.. this guy had one of the best vocals in rock music …
Others … Foo-Fighters, Stone Sour, Disturbed, Papa Roach, Puddle of Mud, Salvia
Moderator can you please move Linkin Park replies to one of those Bolywood threads!!!! PLEASE PWEES
Foo-fighters, Papa Roach eek, Puddle of mud eek again, Saliva, Korn ... all these are pretenders. I would rather listen to Dirty Vegas. Only Disturbed and System of the Down are any good. Sigh. Gone are the days of Megadeth and Marty Friedman :-/
Did anyone get to listen to any stuff from Audio slave? I heard they have broken up already, right after recoring the first album.
Rooster-Blues, if you are even a tini tiny bit into Death metal or Gothic metal, you must listen to Tristania.
Oh forgot to mention Iced Earth and Tool. Pretty pretty good.
