I don't know about that Shikra. My parents are very old fashioned and overprotective. Dating is definitely a no-no, but to marry someone of your own choice isn't "badmaash", at least in their eyes. I could never understand the nosiness of desis. Is there some psychological/historical/anthropological reason behind this??
