ISI director general comes under the direct authority of the prime minister. Why not the boss intervenes himself?

All seems drama. If anyone really wanted to kill Hamid Mir than he would have been under the ground right now.
I have a feeling that all this is happening because Nawaz Shareef (traitor playing game of foreign powers like USA and India) is trying to pressurize army and bring in an ISI chief of his liking, or probably even disband ISI. Geo and Hamid Mir is just a tool in the dirty game of Shareefs.

Geo's reporter Wali Babar was killed, the investigation report has never been shown on Geo, the murderers affiliation is known, never a word said about it on Geo, and when Mir is shot, within minutes ISI is named.

if ISI have done it, hamid mir would have not survived. there should be thorough investigation so tht who are doing propaganda against ISI should be exposed, we all know geo they are on indian agenda, hamid mir is tht person who tried his level best to prove tht kasab was apkistani he even showed his village in pak. the other night he was defending our defence misnter on his speech against army. but the attack yes thts disgusting and sick should not have happened, but without any proof accussing ISI is also disgusting

Why is that?
ISI is Inter-Services Intelligence agency that should work as part of armed forces. What ISI has to do with civilian authorities?
Civilian intelligence agency in Pakistan is FIA (Federal Intelligence Agency) and that is under civilian authorities.
Problem is not ISI, but problem is Pakistani corrupt civilian set-up who want to interfere everywhere and want to use all national organisations as their servants.

ISI and army are equally corrupt as civilians, but the difference is that they can get away with murder. And like I said, this does not augur well for the country. Attempted assassination of HM probably has do with his non stop coverage of armys kill and dump policy in Baluchistan. Even kids as young as 10 years old are taken from their homes and are killed by these thugs. There needs to be some accountability of those responsible for these crimes or Pakistan will nor survive.

You mean ISI is incompetent that they wanted to kill Mir but failed?
If that is the case then certainly ISI is worthless institution to worry about.

Maybe it was a failure by design to send signal to those who are challenging this criminal mafia. Btw, journalists who have worked in Pakistan are directly warned by ISI and army people to not cross certain so called "red lines". So, this is nothing new (maybe new to you).

What do you mean? According to the reports, six bullets were fired at him. To me, that's enough to make sure the victim has minimal survival chances. If he's still alive, then perhaps something suggests that his time wasn't up. Killers cannot always play God.
It's not about Geo or Hamid Mir who are blaming ISI, since yesterday, literally all senior journalist belonging to different major news channels have explicitly or implicitly, admitted to being harassed, bribed, intimidated by higher and secret powers at the top. Let's not brush such serious concerns, and safety issues of journalists under the carpet, a proper investigation must be carried out to track all those threats.

one interesting fact to look at.
there is NO CCTV footage available of the location where the attack was carried out. Sharjeel Memon has said repeatedly that unfortunately the signals from those cameras in the vicinity were momentarily not coming and as a result there is NO CCTV footage.
it's quite a co-incidence that this particular camera did NOT record anything during the attack. what a co-incidence!

you know the details, 6 bullets fired from person on motor bike, none on upper part of body all lower part of the body, if you want to kill someone you will fire at chest or head not on legs n below tummy. then no bullet sign on car windows, the person who did was very anari.

As far as the competence of ISI is concerned we witness it every day in the shape of terror attacks in the country which I am sure would cease to happen if the organization started doing its job properly.
