Well, isn’t this nifty? Hamastan.

I guess the West Bank can be Fatahstan. Already the EU has pulled out of every aid program and relief project in Gaza. Life for those in Gaza, already horrible, is about to get worse. Hamas will spend every waking moment smuggling in arms, and organizing raids on Israeli outposts. They will launch rockets into Israel and impose draconian Islamic rule.

What fun. A new Mogadishu.

And these guys are fanatical enough that they will not care one whit about the horrors of everyday life for Gazans. They will blame Israel, Fatah, the US, and take no responsibility for their actions.

I await the inevitable social collapse.

This might be the best thing to ever happen for Palestinians living in the West Bank if they choose to move towards Israel and away from Hamas like minded groups. A 2-palestinian independent territory , one with leadership vowing the destruction of Israel which will face economic hardships, more devastating consequences in its battles against Israel than we’ve seen before, and has the support of Iran. While the other accepts Israel, spawns economic growth and increased Aid, and has the support of the west and other Arab countries. What model would you rather live in?

Hamas control of Gaza up’s the likely hood that Israel will have just cause in attacking Iran as Iran’s support for Hamas will increase to levels the world can’t ignore.

Finally, Hamas has shown the world what they are about. Widely reported accounts that Hamas members have been executing Fatah members in the streets in front of their family’s gives Israel another chance to say to the world ‘we told you so’.
