Hall, Smith banned, Youhanna fined./Hall loses appeal(Merged)

wo to Allah talah Qayamat main hi daingay inshallah :halo:

decent: true.. par wat we will get in return? kya faida hoga :konfused:

if we do this in business then yeah u might lose somehitng but in this case.. i dun see any point.. :konfused:

:smack:

faida ye ho ga k HALL ban ho jayee ga. Pakistan will get physco advantage over SA.

“Gora” players will be more careful in future and will not think that they can get away with these kind of acts due to their white skin.

and above all why look at everything with the point of advantage and disadvantage. Why not go by books? If rules are crap, then try to change the rules rather than breaking the rules.

okay :halo:

PS: sorry i m kinda forgivin person.. but u got the point :stuck_out_tongue:

i posted these Picture after the second game, i wiated for the comments but did not get any comment. **may be my posts are two Advance and futuristic for GS  what do u say ehsan Bhi?? **

Your pictures came in too late, mine were posted as the incident took place and a discussion took place as well. Check the thread. :snooty:

The ICC is to investigate the spat between Andrew Hall and Yousuf Youhana in the second one-day international between Pakistan and South Africa at Lahore on Oct 5. Hall appeared to barge into Youhana after being hit for four, and the two then exchanged views before the umpires stepped in.

The ICC has improved beyond all recognition in the last few years. During the WC England tried to get decisions in their favour due to political leanings and were given short shrift. That's how it should be IMO and I think the ICC should be given some credit for looking after the game's interests.

Natrin Nel bowled a beamer to Shoaib today and struck his hand as a result. Daryl Hair didn’t say a word yet when one of our bowlers, either Sami or Gul bowled one in wet, slippery conditions because of the dew bowled one last match,Hair was quick to remonstrate the bowler immediately. Considering it was the first and clearly an accident I thought he was harsh at the time and after watching Nel’s antics today before the beamer I see no reason at all why he didn’t receive the same warning. Conditions were perfectly dry so there was no excuse either. Shocking display of double standards by Daryl Hair :nook:

Smith, Hall and Youhana charged by ICC
Wisden Cricinfo staff

Andrew Hall and Yousuf Youhana have been hauled before an ICC Code of Conduct meeting after their mid-pitch confrontation in the second ODI at Lahore last Sunday, following a review of video footage of the incident. And Graeme Smith, South Africa's captain, will also have to appear at the hearing, which will be conducted by the former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd, the ICC match referee for this series.

Malcolm Speed, the ICC chief executive, reviewed television replays of an incident in the match before laying the charges.

Smith has been charged with a Level 2 offence under the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to the use of obscene or offensive language. A Level 2 offence carries a penalty of a fine between 50 and 100% of the player's match fee and/or a ban covering one Test or two ODIs.

Hall is facing two charges. The first is a Level 2 offence for inappropriate and deliberate physical contact, while the second is a Level 3 offence for conduct that brings the game into disrepute. A Level 3 offence carries a penalty of a ban of between two and four Tests, or four and eight ODIs.

Yousuf Youhana has been charged with a Level 1 offence of bringing the game into disrepute. The penalty for this, if proved, is an official reprimand and/or a fine up to 50% of the player's match fee.

An alleged breach of the ICC Code of Conduct can be reported by the umpires, the team managers, the chief executives of the participating boards or the ICC chief executive. Under the Code of Conduct, the chief executive has five days from the close of play on the day an incident took place within which to lay a charge against a player or official, and this is what Mr Speed has done.

^^ :k:

but yousuf youhana?

Maybe Yoyo retaliated by using offensive language back at Hall. He'd ahve to be a saint to keep quiet after being barged and abused by Hall.

Did anyone watch Cricket news on Super Sports today? The cameras have caught a pakistani bowlers tempering with the ball....yet again. And this time it is none other than Shoaib Malik!!!!

I have mixed feelings on the topic. Why won't Pakistanis stop tempering with the ball? Its giving us bad repute. And even if they MUSt do it, at least use some imagination like Waqar Younis . :D

Really?

But why would Shoaib Malik temper with the ball ?? He is a spinner.

I cant see any news on cricinfo or BBC sport, so don't give too much credence to the news.

They showed him scratching the cricket ball. Cameras caught him red handed. He's lucky to get away with it.

did anybody see Andre Nel furiously sledging Shoab Malik right in front of Daryl Hair? Shoaib looked at Hair who just stood there smiling like a fat blimp.

Next over when the bowler at the other end had a go, Aleem Dar stepped right in and demanded the SA captain get a grip and THEN Hair also had a quiet word with Smith. Daryl Hair should be reported to the ICC by our officials for failure to carry out his duties as an umpire.

Kudos to Aleem Dar for showing the useless blob how to do the job properly :k:

Delayed hearing leaves Pakistan camp fuming
Wisden Cricinfo staff

The decision by Clive Lloyd, the referee for the one-day series between Pakistan and South Africa, to delay the ICC Code of Conduct hearing of Graeme Smith, Andrew Hall and Yousuf Youhana until after today's 4th ODI has left the Pakistan authorities livid.

The trio were summoned following a mid-pitch confrontation between Hall and Youhana during last Sunday's ODI at Lahore, and if found guilty they face possible fines and/or suspensions.

Officially, the Pakistan Cricket Board refused to be drawn into the increasingly acrimonious debate over the timing of the hearing, preferring a restrained silence which it explained was "in the better interest of the game and the series".

However, off the record one team official, who only spoke on the grounds that his identity wasn't revealed, was more forthcoming. **"Had the hearing taken place prior to the start of the fourth match, possibly the South African team might have lost their captain and Hall," **he said. "But the hearing was delayed which allowed the tourists to field their best team for this crucial game."

It is reported that the South Africans had initially agreed to hand over the match video-tapes to the Lloyd so that the hearing could taken place on Thursday at 8.30pm, but he was later informed that the tapes were not available. Furthermore, Ten Sports - the broadcasters of the series – had tapes but they were allegedly told by South African management that they would deliver them to the Lloyd. As a result of the delays, Lloyd decided that he didn't have enough time to act before today's game.

The hearing will be held tonight and any sanctions will apply for the series decider at Rawalpindi on Sunday.
