my view is that what needs to be specifically prohibited has been noted again and again, swine, carrion etc. Quran simply does not list every single organism of earth or the universe and give you a list. there are guidelines given, and I am not sure under what guideline is lobster or shrimp considered doubtful and other things allowed.
