You know I totally get your point and to some extent I agree with the not wanting to be associated as a slut…and it reminds me lol a few years back a friend gave me a “slutty” shirt for my birthday…it wasn’t even that slutty, but the fact that she kept calling it a slutty shirt and how it fit my personality so well (because I was the only one of the group who didnt’ wear hijab or 50 layers of clothes) it really bugged me…alot. So I understand why no one wants to be associated with that term..
In my experience, most of the all-girl parties I went to were in college and, aside from a few women-only dholkis/mehndis as I got older, those kind of parties are limited exclusively to that age group…and at that stage in life, I think most girls (and guys) are stlil deciding and figuring out what their values are, what are hteir comfort levels and such…
“Slut” IS a very sensitive word, its one of those things that you can use as a joke, only if you know the person won’t mind it and if they mind it, you apologize nad never use it again…rather than argue about why it bothers them. respecting ones comfort level is much more important than not using swear words.
