Even for those who do wear it because they believe it is Allah’s command, I think it is unfair and unreasonable to expect perfection. Many of my friends who wear the scarf for religious reasons have come to it gradually and on their own terms, in ways that have made sense for them. But the point is that they are actively striving toward Allah SWT. I don’t feel my earlier comment contradicts that.
