there’s the expensive ceramic hot irons and there’s the not so expensive regular hot irons.
my question is do they both work the same way or do the expensive ones work better than the inexpensive ones?? and would i just be better off buying the expensive ones instead of gettin aggrivated trying to blow dry my hair and go crazy :bummer:
i found these really cool expensive ones but are the regular ones really nothing compared to these???
Uhm i heard ceramic is really goood.... try ceramic-plated irons, those aren't as expensive. Mine was a ceramic one froM conair, got it for $24 at Target. It does my hair really nice :D
what is the brand of the ceramic hair straightners??? And where did u get it from? I know a salon named Regis has a really nice straightner....I believe its around $100....heard it was nice never bought it....but I am planning on it soon inshallah....just looking for other good ones before I invest so much money in one.
I know ceramic is not a brand…i was asking which brand of ceramic straightners is good… (my sis can’t stop laughing at the fact that u wrote ceramic is not a brand)
by the way I was looking at the website and found that Sedu seems to be a highly recommended brand…I donno cuz haven’t tried it yet.
hey... i bought the ceramaic straightner from conair .. it was not expensive at all.. i was worried it wouldnt work .. but its excellent! .. remember.. my hair are permed so if it can get the curls out and leave the hair fantabulously straight... its worth a try !
p.s) u've mentioned before.. that ure hair are dry .. i wouldnt put them thru the added stress of straightening.. if u must.. use it sparingly :)
LOL! They don’t burn ur brains out hehe! But they definately burn ur hair if u use them too much…as far as i know u need heat to straighten hair, esp. if it’s curly…there are straightening serums, creams, pomades etc., and they can make ur hair more silky and frizz-free…u can use them before u use the straightening iron as it acts like a barrier, protecting hair a little…but ceramic ones are better, cos they don’t damage as much and leave ur hair less coarse
i thought my muster was the best thing out there... then i tried the GHD... wowwwwwww is all i can say... it works like magic and takes half the time as my muster... but i love my muster regardless
my sister got hers from pakistan, remington (sp?) for Rs. 2000/- and it works great… i have straight/silky hair already but they seem phoolay phoolay after a wash, i tried it and i couldnt manage my hair, till the next wash
Mine is also by Conair and I got it at Wal-mart over a year ago...If I remember correctly, I think I paid like $29.99 for it.
Keeping in mind that I live in Houston....there are days where the humidity is so bad here, no straightener out there can save you from having frizzy hair. But on days when the humidity isn't so crazy(say it's not 80% or above), my straightener works great. :)
And yes, if you do more research online, you'll see that if you're planning on using it on a regular basis, then ceramic straighteners are recommended b/c in the long run, they cause less damage.
Man, it is humid here EVERYDAY! Except for maybe a few weeks in year, i hate the weather here …but i guess i’m lucky that i don’t have a frizz problem…just that it goes more wavy on the ends, so i have no complaints but i’ve noticed when i go to colder climates (London, New York), it’s more straight.
