Re: hair straightners

And I take it that you dont like curly hair on your wife ..or is it her choice.

My wife has curly hair and I like it like that. Whenever she straightens it, I wait for the that strainghtener effect to go away.

Re: hair straightners

i bought this con-air ceramic straightener for about $40 it has different temp settings and since i have almost straight hair i use the lowest setting that minimizes damage. Very curly hairs are supposed to use the highest setting and thats what i like about it. even though i hardly ever straighten, I feel my hair lose moisture and the ends turn into a broom-like texture after each session. for the time being they look good but after a wash they go really dry so i avoid it.
also u can buy these sealants and diffusers that minimize damage to hair from the heat...consult a stylist for brands but thermasilk is one common and cheap one.

Re: hair straightners

I used to use the con-air straightener and eventually ditched it. It made my hair look fried. I now use a professional salon ceramic plated straightening iron ... by Faruk and it's great on my hair! You need to use a good straightening lotion too. You should never put the iron onto wet/untreated hair or else it can damage it.

Re: hair straightners

Yeha thermasilk and tresseme are really good drugstore brands. I got this thing from Matrix, the iron smoother, supposedly it protects ur hair from the heat damage. maybe i’m using it wrong I dunno but i spray it on, just one spritz but then how long am i suposed to wait for it to dry? and if i put the iron on it i hear the szzzzz noise.. not good :bummer:

Re: hair straightners

^^ ok i believe the szzzzzzz really shouldnt be happening gurl!

Re: hair straightners

ok first of all wut's a GHD??? and how much does it cost

my hair isn't curly, it's just wavy but eventually it gets curly since i have it in a bun 24/7. but anyways they're not that hard to work with but if i blow dry em they become all puffy and it's just very aggrivating.

and no i don't need this for an every day basis, just once in a blue moon when i hafta go to a gathering.

now i have a serum, will that work also instead of using a lotion or something before i put them through the iron?

umm and other questions i'll ask later

Re: hair straightners

Re: hair straightners

Oh dude if u jus tneed it for once in a while, dont waste u r$$, just got a regular 20-30 $ one. Which serum do u hav? My hair isn’t that curly either, nor is it very wavy but it just looks really sloppy if i dont do something to it. Hmmm i shud try that ceramic thing since i use mine several times a week…

Re: hair straightners

i think it's called texture.line

bought it from the salon i got my hair done last year. hmmz yea i think im juz gonna buy the regular ceramic ones since im not gonna use it quite often

now which brand did ppl say works wonders??

hot tools?
conair?

anyother ones??

Re: hair straightners

BTw hot tools is not something u get at walmart or target.
It's sold at salons or speciality stores only.

Re: hair straightners

can’t order it from online either? gotta go to a darn salon now? :bummer:

Re: hair straightners

as a brit I feel ripped off, majorly.

Re: hair straightners

How about "kaLf"? If you dont know what it is, (ABCDs) ask your parents.

Re: hair straightners

Oh I bet you can order it online. I didn't mean that.
I was just saying walmart/target etc don't carry it.
