i was having the same problems, my hair were so thick and so frizzy that they wouldn’t get straight no matter what i do. i used almost all the good straightening irons in the market, conir, revelon, ionic one (can’t remember it’s name) but what i really worked for me was chi’s straightening iron. i bought it from ulta it cost around $145 but you can find it for $100 on sale.
i just john frida’s frizz ease stuff, and do not try to straighten you hair the same day you take shower. do it the next day, after all teh moisture is out. once i even try to blow dry my hair after shower and then tried to straighten them but it doesn’t work, on the same days you take shower.
for dullness, try to use those heat protection spray that you are suppose to spray on your hair before using any hot iron. i got one from sally’s beauty salon and it works very well. it a little oily but only enough to give your hair shine not oily enough to make your hair look oily.
you can also use other stuff available in beauty supply’s store that are suppose to give your hair shine, they are supposed to be used in the end.

hmmm yeh i understand wat ur saying abt straightening the day after, i guess the natural oils tht are realised help giv tht extra shine, but wat if u need the hair straightened same day, also i find tht wen u attend a party or wateva, hav a hectic day the hair tends to go greasy quickly so needs to be washed n straightened for the next day again ..so u cant hav tht gap of straightening day after …ufff :hinna:

wash your hair a day before the event. and if your hair tend to get oily try to wash your hair with baby shampoo and no conditioner, or any other hair product, it will help your hair get oily slower than usual.

Even i was trying to find any salon which had a video demo of this new formaldehyde free treatment Keratin straightening.FInally after alot of youtubing …i found one..
