lol, I’m sure whoever goes to heaven will have gorgeous hair, no need for hair extensions
And for people who DO want to wear hair extensions, since the synthetic ones are allowed (as mentioned on the site I quoted… Wigs and False Hair), why not use those?
My husband is the same way. I miss those days where I would just wash my face, put on some lip balm or gloss and go out, no need for makeup.
Now I’m supposed to get all glammed up when i go anywhere. If I’m wearing no makeup, he goes… “makeup nahin kiya? maasi lag rahi ho”… now what is one supposed to say to that? I blame it all on media and those super gorgeous looking models with fake looks
if i wanted an islamic viewpoint, i wouldve posted this in the religion forum … so please … :pcg:
dekha jayay to haram to bohat kuch hai! ye alag baat hai k zahiri cheezein sab ko nazar ati hain!
My ones problems is social status. He is a director at work and he is worried that I might bump into one of his workers looking very unlike a directors wife!
I love going home to London because then its back to no makeup and a ponytail, with jogging pants and t shirts the whole time!! AAhhhh…the comfort!
this is called not having fear of Allah...when you tell something which is sahi hadith they brush it aside....we can only tell u not force u dears. history kasey distort ho gai. what orders are given by Allah and rasool no matter how unjust they seem to u your test is in obeying them. bcz this life is a test ..u can use all hair extensions once we are in heaven iishallah.
oye..agar heaven pohonch jayen gaye, hopefully we will have naturally thick and beautiful hair, without use of extensions.
in the meantime i have better things to spend my money on. and it looks good in pictures so what else coudl i ask for
is it true that you cant really tie your hair up if you've got extensions in (of course not talking about the clip on ones) because the joint will show?
If a decent hairdresser does it u should have no problem putting ur hair up, I often tie mine back cos it's really thick and down to my elbows. Make sure u go to someone with a good reputation cos it isn't a small amount of money and u don't want to end up with ratty looking hair like Britney Spears.. Cos mine are synthetic now the method they put them in with is a special tiny knot then sealed with a heat clamp. It's totally unoticeable. There are other methods like 'shrinkies' and 'micro rings' that other hairdressers use but as far as I know those two methods can't last as long. The longest lasting method for human hair is fusion, which is just basically the extensions being glued into ur hair. I kept my old ones in for 4+ months easily. Like I said before tho pls stay away from the 'Great Lengths' brand cos they are an absolute nightmare to take out. I used to have 'Raccoon' human hair extensions but there are other great companies out there which are also good quality. I can post some pics of my hair but cos it's v.light blonde it prob won't help u much.. Btw talking of colour, with human hair extensions u can dye them darker but not lighter cos it's chemically treated so something to bare in mind incase u think u might want some slight highlights or something later (just have different coloured extensions put in instead), everything else in terms in styling tho is usually ok, straightening, curling tongs etc. :)
To seamlessly blend long wefts of hair into your own, clip away the top layer of hair around your head. Next attach extensions directly at the root, then unclip hair and lay it over the extensions.
It even has a contest going on for a free Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves HairDo Clip-in extension, Raquel Welch wig, or Put on Pieces hair addition for US residents:
If hair is in really bad condition it prob hasn't been looked after well enough, just like colouring and heat styling if u don't take special care of it of course it will end up really damaged. A lot of ppl's extensions get matted or tangled cos they haven't taken put enough conditioner in it to keep it looking soft or brushed it thru well enough each day. Sometimes ppl lose bits of their on hair when the extensions are being taken out if the bonds are hard to break like those awful GL ones (keratin glue shouldn't be difficult to get rid of tho) Really, extensions shouldn't be damaging a person's hair any more than heat styling or straightening would do. If, however, the person has really really fine hair then it isn't a good idea cos obviously ur placing extra stress on it when it's already not that strong.
I've got extensions in at the moment, monofibre that stay in around 4 months (I have kept them in a lot longer than that before tho). The method they use to put them is what determines how damaging they can be. Glue is more damaging (stay away from 'Great Lengths' extensions they are the worst when it comes to damage cos the glue is so strong they are a nightmare to get out and u may lose a bit of ur own hair at the same time). Human hair looks more natural (esp on darker hair) but is more expensive and feels heavier, therefore puts more stress on ur natural hair. Advantages are tho that it can be styled and treated just like ur own hair. Synthetic/monfibre is lighter, less expensive and looks more 'shiny'. Main disadvantage is u can't use tongs or hair straighteners cos the hair will melt lol. Rollers are ok tho. I didn't opt for clip ins cos I'd be too lazy to take them out every night and also my other half likes to play with my hair, wouldn't want him to run his fingers thru it and keep hitting plastic clips..
Hi Deeba
Do you mind pm'ing me the place you get your extensions put in? How are the monofibre ones attached to your hair?
Guys may I please remind you that we are in Fashion and Beauty, not in Religion forum. Kindly stick to the topic there's no need to bring religion in everything. Allah has not blessed some people with beautiful or thick hair. Hair extensions were created for a reason. Anyone who would like to discuss this further with religious connotations they are more than welcome to open up a thread in Religion.
Where can I get hair extensions in Karachi? I am visiting and I am thinking about getting extensions (for cheaper). Any leads? Also how much does it usually cost? But I may not wanting anything more than clip-ons. Not sure.
I find it really gross to use human hair extension... but its just me.. I don't think i can ever purt someone else's hair in my hair :(
