u can get clip on extension which are much better that the weave etc..
i have the 100% human hair clip ones and they are really good the look really realy and u use them like your own hair.

I've got extensions in at the moment, monofibre that stay in around 4 months (I have kept them in a lot longer than that before tho). The method they use to put them is what determines how damaging they can be. Glue is more damaging (stay away from 'Great Lengths' extensions they are the worst when it comes to damage cos the glue is so strong they are a nightmare to get out and u may lose a bit of ur own hair at the same time). Human hair looks more natural (esp on darker hair) but is more expensive and feels heavier, therefore puts more stress on ur natural hair. Advantages are tho that it can be styled and treated just like ur own hair. Synthetic/monfibre is lighter, less expensive and looks more 'shiny'. Main disadvantage is u can't use tongs or hair straighteners cos the hair will melt lol. Rollers are ok tho. I didn't opt for clip ins cos I'd be too lazy to take them out every night and also my other half likes to play with my hair, wouldn't want him to run his fingers thru it and keep hitting plastic clips..

i'm in rotterdam/netherlands ... iv been trying to search online about extensions and weaves ... and a lot of it sounds so scary ... but so many people do it ... how bad can it be? i wanted to get extensions to get a fuller look and add some length ... which clip-ons are you using?

thanks for all this info deeba ... but what method are you using to attach the extensions? i'd myself go for the real hair ... i feel uncomfortable at the thought of synthetic ... can you maybe post a picture of your hair? :)

Tried the glue-in ones.....no matter what brand they damage your hair to such a degree that it takes ages to nurse it back to good health.
I also have clip ons that work a lot better.

Get hair wefts - they're basically clip into your hair, and you can take them to the hairdresser when you get your hair cut... they'll clip them in and cut them also, so they blend in with your own hair.
Also, you can buy these online, like on eBay. :)

is it true that you cant really tie your hair up if you've got extensions in (of course not talking about the clip on ones) because the joint will show?
unless you have solid proof that it’s haram … don’t go around policing like this! 
there are people for whom even showing there face in public is haram!

I’ve never used extensions but your posts got me curious. I did some googling and found this site: Wigs and False Hair
Apparently, it is forbidden to wear a wig/extensions made out of human hair or pig hair. Others you can wear, as long as your intention is not to deceive.
And this got me thinking, what about those people who are partly bald and get hair implants with their own hair… what do you ladies think?

Oho, I didn't read the second part... it says you can't even use your own hair which has been removed.
Hmmm... I don't know about this ladies, I would think then makeup and any kind of other araaish is also haram, since you're trying to look prettier than you actually are.
To me, Haram is all that is labelled Haram by Allah in Quran Paak. Hadees ki validity kaafi questionable hoti hai.... then again, har ek ko apna hisaab khud daina hai, so do what you think is right. Juts my two cents :)
this is called not having fear of Allah...when you tell something which is sahi hadith they brush it aside....we can only tell u not force u dears. history kasey distort ho gai. what orders are given by Allah and rasool no matter how unjust they seem to u your test is in obeying them. bcz this life is a test ..u can use all hair extensions once we are in heaven iishallah.

What if your husband wants you to be decked out all the time in makeup and nice clothing? My hubby hates me going out unless I look stylish and elegant...even to the local supermarket!
