Hair Colouring

I’ve always wondered what the motivation was behind girls/ladies colouring their hair brown/blonde. I mean shouldn’t you just be happy with what you’ve been given? Why try to copy someone else? I’ve always felt putting mehndi on or loreal colours was fake. Its so obvious sometimes thats its not real; the roots reveal everything.

Your thoughts ?

Re: Hair Colouring

i wanted to dye my hair blue when i was in 2nd year . becaz at that time every one else dyed their hair all those colors bergundi etc. and i wanted to tell the world that life can be very different . also my sharara for my cousin's wedding was blue .. so thought it would match a bit.

but i never did actually dye my hair . i thought people were crazy who dyed their hair.

A year back i went for something different . when eveyone stopped dying their hair . i dyed my hair exactly the same color that of my eyes . some shade of brown .
so people thought that it was my original hair

no worries at the end of the day
adios

Re: Hair Colouring

I'm very happy with my hair. But sometimes a change is fun. It's fun to reinvent yourself, try new things. I've only recently gotten brown highlights. It's interesting how a very slight change in tone can make a difference to your look. I don't think the idea is to copy everyone else -- at least that's not why I did it. I was just curious to see how it would look. I wouldn't do it all the time, I'll probably let it grow out, and return to my normal color.

Re: Hair Colouring

i dun think majority of ppl who dye their hair do it cuz they are not happy with wat they have or they wanna copy someone else.
as mentioned its more for a refreshing change. i mean hair dyes are easily available and wats da harm in doing a make-over for ourselves once in a while?

Re: Hair Colouring

Because its fun. That’s why

Its only fake and “questionable” when everyone does the exact same thing, (i.e. blonde) whether it suits em or not.. iv eseen women who will literally fry their hair to get it blonde, which is kinda messed up..but its their head, thier life..

Re: Hair Colouring

makeup, dyes and looking good is a woman's equivalent of/ answer too drugns n s-- and rock n roll.

Re: Hair Colouring

Why is it always guys worrying their rears off over ladies dying their hair blonde or red or whatever?

Re: Hair Colouring

I colour my hair regularly, experiment with different colours and highlights and I've been doing it for quite a few years now. Like others have said, it's fun and change is also fun. It's not done because I'm unhappy or unsatisfied with my appearance. I just like a change once in a while.

Also, I was going gray BEFORE I started colouring my hair. It's just in my family genes. I would have to colour my hair eventually anyway.

Re: Hair Colouring

as everyone said. women like to re-invent themselves. makes them happy. thats why they live longer than men.

Re: Hair Colouring

a valid point . i often see men getting frustrated over things which did not even matter in their world .

well that leads to another topic

Re: Hair Colouring

Ok guys I colored my hair BLACK yesterday and im loving it. My hair is naturally brown and i was sick of it, now I have thick glossy black hair....oooooh! So yeah i'm all for color.

Re: Hair Colouring

ive been thinking black too :D or then a burgundy brown. Lets see.

Re: Hair Colouring

for a reason similar to why people get a new haircut - yeah, believe me it is that simple.

Re: Hair Colouring

i got a question
why to grey headed men dye their hair PITCH BLACK ?

fair enough a woman does it forherself and her husband and to look pretty etc,
y do the bhudde men do it?

Re: Hair Colouring

I've also seen those mullah types who have bright orange beards. Why do they use mendi on their beards? I never got that.

Re: Hair Colouring

Mehndi i can understand that is sunnat
but BLACK hair dye is a :nono:

Re: Hair Colouring

why are u looking anyway? should u be keeping ur eyes down when a lady passes by you?

Re: Hair Colouring

Other than need for change, I’ve experimented with my hair color/style whenever went thru a major setback in life. That too pretty frequently. Now my poor hair scream for help :teary1:
