5-How many times a year you get the hair cut?
6-Do you brush hair before going to sleep?
7-How often do you apply hair mask and what kind of mask?
8-Recommend a good hair balm, serum etc
1-How many times do you wash hair per week? 3 times a week.
2-What shampoo/conditioner do you use? I use the PURE range (voluminous) as it is sulphate free…I have keratin in my hair so have to use sulphate free products only.
3-How many times you deep condition it? I use Moroccon oil (hair mask thingy) 1-2 times a week.
4-How many times a week you oil your hair and what oil? I oil my hair every second day (the day before I wash my hair and leave it on overnight or sometimes 4-5 hours). I use vatika hair oil (not the India one but the one made in UAE and it is amazing! Has made my grow really quickly).
5-How many times a year you get the hair cut? I have long hair and am growing it so I have a trim/get my layers and fringe fixed every 8-12 weeks.
6-Do you brush hair before going to sleep? Yes of course.
7-How often do you apply hair mask and what kind of mask? Refer to answer 3.
8-Recommend a good hair balm, serum etc. I would honestly say oil is the best! Natural preferably.
@ZareenKhan - I used to wash my hair every day as well and I think it was pretty damaging. Try not to wash it every day. At first you will feel your hair is greasy/oily but after a while the hair will get used and I think it will be better for your hair, at least it has been for mine
1-How many times do you wash hair per week Depends but usually 2-3 times a week. I used to have hip long hair, so sometimes it was a bit annoying to wash it
2-What shampoo/conditioner do you use?
**For a long time I kept changing mine but for the last few years I’ve been using Head & Shoulders - almond dry version and it’s been really good to my hair. **
3-How many times you deep condition it?
**I try to do it once a week, but maybe it’s more like every 14th day. **
4-How many times a week you oil your hair and what oil?
**Again, I try to do it 1 time/week but sometimes I forget it. I usually make a small mixture of almond oil and Mustard oil. **
5-How many times a year you get the hair cut?
**Depends on my mood. But the last year I think I went to the hairdresser like 4 times, but normally it’s twice a year. **
6-Do you brush hair before going to sleep?
**No. My hair is wavy and silky, brushing it too much ruins it imo. I just detangle it with my hand. **
7-How often do you apply hair mask and what kind of mask?
**I’m using an avocado mask, probably every 14th week. **
8-Recommend a good hair balm, serum etc
**Argan Oil for split ends is pretty good. **
1- I wash/shampoo/condition my hair everyday. I have to. I have very, very curly hair that I wear natural, I don’t blow dry or straighten it, so washing everyday is a must because the only way I can style it is wet.
2- I only use sulphate free shampoo and conditioner, because I have get the Brazillian Blowout treatment done to combat frizziness. My hair is so curly that this treatment does not straighten it all, it just makes it lie nicely in smooth, loose wavy curls
3- Brazillian Blowout treatment once or twice a year
4- I don’t oil, don’t really have a need to
5- I get my hair cut twice a year, to manage the length
6- I do not brush my hair…if I did, I’d look like a poodle or worse, Cousin It from the Adams Family. People with naturally curly hair like mine cannot brush it!! That is why washing it daily is so important, I detangle in the shower while conditioning with a pick or my fingers
7- Never
8- Dont really use any…I only use 2 hair products…a curl cream and mousse…I scrunch those two products into my hair and let it airdry. Sometimes I’ll use an Argan Oil finishing spray but that’s just occasionally.
I would like to add that I have never colored or highlighted my hair and I don’t use a hair dryer or heat tools to style…the only time I straighten my hair is once or or twice a year when I go for a haircut and my stylist does it. I don’t have a problem with split ends either. My hair is pretty healthy and I’m a low maintenance kind of gal so I don’t have an elaborate hair routine.
Is it the Moroccon oil on it’s own or some other kind of Moroccon oil hair mask? I have bought Vatika coconut oil, haven’t used it yet, it says good for volume and thickness, would give it a try soon.
Hip long hair , Woww you must share the pic of your hair with us then. :sid:
I have heard washing hair everyday can damage, some people I know are used to it. It has been years I used Head & Shoulders but it is good for silky hair but my hair got frizz, i use hair softening shampoo.
Mustard oil has strong smell ayyh I have mixed almond, coconut, olive and castor oil together, I apply them once a week.
Share the avocado mask you using?
No, not at all. The Brazillian Blowout is a much kinder treatment then the usual Keratin treatments. It is almost 100% formaldahyde free. I am extremely picky and careful about my hair, and I did a lot of research on the process before I tried it. You must make sure that you are getting the **real ** Brazillian Blowout with the licensed products and a stylist who is certified in the process, because there are alot of “quicky” and short cut services out there that are not authentic. I live in the US, so I don’t know where all it is offered, but this is the service/product I get done: What is Brazilian Blowout? Learn about our innovative keratin hair treatment
Sounds like my hair, I have wavy hair , they aren’t too curly but the front ones are and this is why it becomes hard for me to style, I have to must straight them to get a nice fringe. My hair are not dry just like yours , they are healthy but they got frizz, I have to apply hair serum to tame them. Once i wash, condition, apply serum they stay good for two whole days. Do you use shampoo everyday or just rinse them with water some days?
I have hair down to my waist so it takes quite a bit of effort with the up keep
1-How many times do you wash hair per week? 2-3 times a week. My hair is long so washing it too much can take away quite a lot of shampoo. lol. i try and avoid that by sticking to max 3 times a week.
2-What shampoo/conditioner do you use? I use the “Macademia” shampoo and conditioner. Found it a while ago, never changed it since. The stuff is brilliant and smells amazing.
3-How many times you deep condition it? Deep conditioning isn’t my thing. I put a whole bunch of other stuff on my hair instead.
4-How many times a week you oil your hair and what oil? twice a week. I have my own mix of castor oil + coconut oil+ olive oil. It’s never failed me.
5-How many times a year you get the hair cut? I cut my own hair. I trim it every six months and haven’t really changed my hairstyle in a while now.
6-Do you brush hair before going to sleep? Nope.
7-How often do you apply hair mask and what kind of mask? I don’t really do masks. Instead i put henna on my hair which not only conditions it but also makes hair thicker and improves the over all quality.
8-Recommend a good hair balm, serum etc: I use the macademia leave in hair oil after showers.
I shampoo and condition everyday because I want to get the styling products out of my hair. There are some days if I’m lazy or tired or not going out of the house where I will just pull my hair up into a messy bun and not bother washing it, but it usually looks like a rats nest and I don’t want to be seen out in public like that lol
I never thought about getting the styling products out of my hair. Some days, I just wash and condition my hair and do not apply any hair products e.g serum, mouse etc. And some days I just rinse hair with water and that is it. Cannot think of washing hair everyday, lazy meh
It was hip long. It’s not anymore. It was getting a bit difficult to manage, but sure I will find a pic and send you
True Mustard oil does have a smell, but I think when you mix it with almond, it’s not noticeable and not like I’m going out of the house with all that oil in my hair and tbh I find olive oil smell way worse. Yikes.
The avocado mask is a gift. It is from Giovanni but you can make your own as well, which I did before: Toss 1 avocado, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and a few tablespoon almond oil in a food processer and give it a run. Voila
I know! I used to feel the same, but like I said you and your hair will get used to it.
1-How many times do you wash hair per week? About 4 times in a week
2-What shampoo/conditioner do you use? I’ve been using L’Oreal Elvive Smooth-Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo for such a long time, almost been two years. No conditioner.
3-How many times you deep condition it? I’ve never tried this.
4-How many times a week you oil your hair and what oil? Before taking a shower and on Friday. Used to use olive oil, now have been using mustard oil
5-How many times a year you get the hair cut? **
Every new moon, lol. I’m growing out my hair as well, now it’s almost to my waist, and I get a trim every new moon.
6-Do you brush hair before going to sleep?
**Yep 7-How often do you apply hair mask and what kind of mask? I don’t even know what this is.
8-Recommend a good hair balm, serum etc
Olive oil
