Did anyone else catch them on ptv today?
PTV celebrated the victory in indian series. They started the program at 10 am with interviews from variuso celebrities and they also invited Inzimam, Shahryar. Inzi’s interview was very impressive. Then they showed the live rally in blue-area Islamabad with all the team passing through the huge gathering of crowd. Awesome sight.
They are also airing a stageshow tonight.

this teams deserves a lot of accolades for their performance but this is just sick i think, over doing it, and its not their fault its the bazaari government thats to be blamed, a landcrusier for every player to arrive in himself, i just think it was kinda stupid, they did not win ther world cup man!! and look at that cartoon sheikh rashid lol always there to show off! did they show this on prime also?

They are not overdoing it. During last decade or so Media all over the world are giving great coverage to their players (specially indian and english media) and it is high time that one pakistani channel came out and arranged this sort of programs. I dont mean to say that they should follow indian and english media but at least give these players the coverage they deserve. The idea is nice, execution not perfect.
p.s Shaikh Rashid bit was cheap but then again he thinks he knows how to get the pindi crowd going.

Here are few hillariuos comments.
Fakhar Alam invited Adnan Siddiqui (an actor) on stage and he told how showbiz stars have thier own cricket team and how he wishes to bowl off spinners so he asked Kaneria about it who referred him to Arshad khan. At that moment, Fakhar invited Arshad on stage and Adnan asked him the same question ke how do you spin balls. To that Arshad was like buss ho jati hai, sub se seekha hai. To some comment Arshad said ke shru mai Javed (miandad) bhai bara batatay thhay. Adnan Immediately "Bob bhai kya batatay hain". Arshad was like nahi woh kuch aur batatay hain' To adnan said ke 'woh kya bataatay hain aisa? His tone was such that whole audience (including) team bursted into laughter

Yup. They definitely deserve something like this, or even something more GRAND! Coz our team did an awesome job, everyone dissed them during their low times, it's time now that we show our appreciation that they've done something really AWESOME!

Umar sharif’s jokes were quite old but He threw some classics for pakistani team.
‘Rana Naveed tu class ke performer hain, poori duniya pareshan hai ke woh iss umar mai itna behtereen khailtay hain’ (Rana naveed is a class performer, whole world is amused that he is performing that well at this age) 
He threw his age old Imran khan joke, immitated Javed Miandad and Pakistani team thoroughly enjoyed his ‘Miandad’ bit. He said "aap log tu match khail rahay hotay thhay, match ke forun baad hum Javed Bhai ko suntay thhay (on geo). He still knows how to involve the audience.
I like the message every actor or celebrity was trying to convey and I think guppies should follow suit :-p . ‘Pakistani team dont deserve appreciation only when they win but also when they lose because this is a young team and deserve every bit of appreciation they can muster because we know they are willing to fight till the very moment’ 
Fakhar alam got carried away fora while and said that if Pakistani team continues to play like this they will bring home the next worldcup. At that very moment, camera caught Inzimam shaking his head at that very comment. He must have been thinking ‘Oh, not again. Raise your bars very high and diss us when we fail’. But thankfully Fakhar was the one who remedied his earlier comment by saying that please dont raise eyebrows when our team loses.
All in all a really nice idea. Pakistani players were looking all grateful and relaxed. Most of all Inzi was looking like a leader amongst those players.
