Is there any possibility that someone can hack your FB account when they dont know your email id?? I came across few articles that actually revealed how easy is it get someone’s Facebook account hacked, then I searched further of how someone can do that and there I came to know, the email id is the main key, nevertheless I am scared
can someone hack your account just by knowing your FB id?? ![]()
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
Anyone can hack anything. That's why they say, don't make too many friends and don't make too many enemies either. :D
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
yeah, but ............:(
ok......where is my answer? :(
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
yeaa...it is not that difficult to hack...I had my hotmail account hacked! So I changed all my passwords...
That is also a reason I don't add just anyone on to my FB, if I haven't met you, then I aint adding you...I have made the exception only for 2 ppl, haven't regretted that decision so far.
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
^yeah but you said they hacked your hotmail account so they surely knew your hotmail id, but here I m talking about FB id!! you log in FB through an email account…they said, you can hack a FB id when they know the email account.. my question remains the same…what if the hacker doesn’t know my email account I am using to log in to FB?? Any computer ka cheeta here?? ![]()
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
Yes, someone hacked my hotmail account, like 1 week after I made it

Re: Hacking a FB Account!
I dnt think that hackers need much to hack into someone’s FB, my hubby’s FB account has been hacked too many times…so weird..he doesn’t really care…but if your account gets hacked FB will contact you, and they normally “lock” your account till you respond to them contacting you.
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
^aaaal riiiiiight!! hmm… ![]()
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
There is so much misconception about hacking here that am thinking about starting a separate thread for it, if anyone needs more details i will put it in a separate thread, in brief,
Its not easy to hack anyone's FB (or any other online account for that matter) unless you use a simple password or security questions/answers and you dont use the same password for more than one service. The possible ways to hack are
1). Social Engineering: The hacker stalks you and use his social engineering skills to guess your passwords. - Always use a strong and unique password for your accounts.
2). Phishing: The hacker creates/clones the login page of the service in question (FB. Gmail etc) and sends you a link or direct you to sign into your account. - Check your address bar and make sure that you are really on the website that you are suppose to type your email/password and its an encrypted connection.
3). Keylogers: The hacker plants a keyloger on your computer through PDF attachments/flash vulnerability or drive by web exploits and stores and sends all the words you type on your keyboard. - Use a good anti virus and always update the virus database signature, try to use a free or paid firewall if you know how to use it. Most of these are easily detected and removed by a good anti virus software. If the keyloger is a custom made just for you, and or you are the victim of a targeted attack, sorry, there is nothing you can do.
4). Trojans/Virus/Worms/Fake Anti virus: Normally these thinks are easily detected and removed by a good anti virus.
5). The service's database is compromised: This is almost impossible to happen in case of large services like FB and Gmail but its possible and it happened in case of small companies (even Yahoo). If you use the same password (or one that related) on more than one service, if one account is compromised all your other accounts are compromised as well. - If it is compromised, change your password immediately.
P.S: I work in IT Security Industry.
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
^Thanks for the great info Rayan, could you also tell us what is the best Anti-Virus, or some of the best and also is it true that they normally make your system really slow?
Re: Hacking a FB Account!
Someone tried to hack my fb account last week that was quite shocking to me.
Tried to find out and someone from London on Vodaphone tried to hack it, I don’t know who did, just changed my password and login id.
Next thing,I am going to learn in IT. ![]()
Kaspersky is the best one, It has been 2 years since I am with them , got it for £27 and it covers 3 devices , I gave to my sisters and I got on mine, renewed it this year and no headache of virus anymore. No, an Anti virus doesn’t make your system slow but having more than one Anti viruses do effect your system’s performance.
