Allah's Apostle said, "While I was sleeping I saw (in a dream) some people wearing shirts of which some were reaching up to the breasts only while others were even shorter than that. Umar bin Al-Khattab was shown wearing a shirt that he was dragging." The people asked, "How did you interpret it? (What is its interpretation) O Allah's Apostle?" He (the Prophet ) replied, "It is the Religion."
Source: Sahih Bukhari 1.2.22
Moral: Follow the religion fully, don't be half-in, half-out.
I heard the Prophet saying, "A (small) place equal to an area occupied by a whip in Paradise is better than the (whole) world and whatever is in it; and an undertaking (journey) in the forenoon or in the afternoon for Allah's Cause, is better than the whole world and whatever is in it."
(Sahih Bukhari, Book 76, Number 424)
Moral: Yearn to occupy paradise, for it is better than any place one can imagine.
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: If anyone gives as Sadaqa the equivalent of a date from that (earning) earned honestly, for Allah accepts that which is lawful, the Lord would accept it with His Right Hand, and even if it is a date, it would foster in the Hand of the lord, as one of you fosters his colt, till it becomes bigger than a mountain.
{Book 005, Chapter 18, Number 2211 : Sahih Muslim}
Moral: Earn honestly, and give all you can in the way of Allah, no matter how little it may seem in your eyes, for Allah (SWT) shall reward you its true worth.

Thanks for posting:).So very true. We always think oh we'll donate when we have enough or like a bigger amount etc.
I was talking to him few weeks back and he said he had some things to take care in life and will be busy, hence, will not be able to come on GS for some time. Just asked to keep him in prayers.

Qur'an, from the story of Nuh with his people:
"Next I appealed to them publicly; then I broadcast it to them
and confided with them privately, proclaiming: 'Seek forgiveness
from your Lord; He is so Forgiving. He causes the sky to send
torrents down upon you and He supplies you with wealth and
children, and grants you gardens and even grants you rivers."
- Surah Nuh 78/9-12
[Lessons from these verses] Whatever you are seeking in life,
knock on the doors of forgiveness and they will both open.
Narrated By:Ibn Mas'ud The Prophet used to take care of us in preaching by selecting a suitable time, so that we might not get bored. (He abstained from pestering us with sermons and knowledge all the time). Source:Sahih Bukhari 1.3.68
Hadith Qudsi 29:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu), who said that the Messenger of Allah (Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim) said:
Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My faithful servant's reward from Me, if I have taken to Me his best friend from amongst the inhabitants of the world and he has then borne it patiently for My sake, shall be nothing less than Paradise.
It was related by al-Bukhari.
Hadith Qudsi 31:
On the authority of Jundub (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu), who said that the Messenger of Allah (Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim) related:
A man said: By Allah, Allah will not forgive So-and-so. At this Allah the Almighty said: Who is he who swears by Me that I will not forgive So-and-so? Verily I have forgiven So-and-so and have nullified your [own good] deeds (1) (or as he said [it]). (1) A similar Hadith, which is given by Abu Dawud, indicates that the person referred to was a goldly man whose previous good deeds were brought to nought through presuming to declare that Allah would not forgive someone's bad deeds.
It was related by Muslim.
Hadith Qudsi 34:
On the authority of Anas (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim) say:
Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it.
It was related by at-Tirmidhi and al-Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal. Its chain of authorities is sound
From the Qur'an
{Allah will grant a way out for anyone who heeds Him, and
provide for him in a manner he could have never anticipated.
Allah is enough for anyone who relies on Him; Allah will
accomplish His purpose. Allah has granted everything in due
proportion.}
~ Surat Talaq 65/2-3

is pleasing to Allah, and success will be yours.

{That is a nation which has already passed away: there awaits it

earned. You will not be questioned about what they have been doing.}
~ Surat Al-Baqarah 2/141
[Lessons from this verse] We spend and waste oh-so-much time on
the faults of others, yet on the enormous day we will not be
asked about them. We will be asked about how we spent OUR
lives. Focus on what is in YOUR control today.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There is no-one who is afflicted by distress and grief, and says:
‘Allaahumma inni ‘abduka ibn ‘abdika ibn amatija naasyati bi yadika, maada fiyya hukmuka, ‘adlun fiyya qadaa’uka. As’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw ‘allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw ista’tharta bihi fi ‘ilm il-ghayb ‘indaka an taj’al al-Qur’aana rabee’ qalbi wa noor sadri wa jalaa’ huzni wa dhihaab hammi
(O Allaah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your maidservant; my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety),’
but Allaah will take away his distress and grief, and replace it with joy.” (Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, 3704; it is a saheeh hadeeth). May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad SAW
From the Qur'an
{It may be that you detest something which is good for you; and
it may be you love something even though it is bad for you.
Allah knows, and you do not know.}
~ Surat AlBaqarah 2/216
[Lessons from this verse] Pain doesn't feel good when it
happens, but Allah knows that it may be the best thing for us at
that moment. And sometimes we may be praying so hard for stuff,
and Allah knows how bad it is for us. Allah knows and we do not.
Trust in Allah.
