well.. very few guys have replied to this thread so far.

I think this is a very sensitive issue, and as some of us men may (rather uknowingly) claim that we can do it, many would walk out when faced with the actual situation. Most of those left, would not be able to do justice with the commitment, responsibility, compassion, respect and understanding that such relationships demand. The social and familial pressures would further complicate the issues. Knowing all that, I will do it only if I love/like the girl. I may never be able to stay committed to it just for the sake compassion itself. That’s just as honest as I can be.
