Guys/Gals at university:: Food.

yeah yeah i knoweveyone loves food, but here in uni i am really messed up. What do u guys do about food at uni???. the burgershop at uni is expensive, and its the same food everytime, plus i cant make the good food like biryani, qorma and stuff. its too difficult and takes a lot time for me(lazy, hardworking student). and my exams are near, so could u people specially girls provide me some qiuck-yummy-studentsonly-food recipes.

thanks…

Pocket pitas:

Pita bread with pockets(when sliced in half)
Ground beef
Taco mix
salt

Fry some ground beef, add taco mix and salt.

Put in pita with any veggies or shredded cheese you like. Fast and easy. Can even be stored for a few days.

Most supermarkets are now carrying veggie-mince. Works just like minced meat. Look for it near the produce section.

Try it.

You can try Quorn mince - you can find it at Sainsbury's and most other big supermarkets. It's basically a fungus that is grown and chemically treated to have the same texture and taste as meat.

Or if you're in Essex, you can always raid Ilford for supplies.....

ugh Ilford.

couldn't you find a more appetizing way to describe the veggie mince.

ab tau khanay waala bhi haath na laga'ay.

My sentiments exactly. Hence in 14 years of living in London, I have never been to Ilford.....

Parmesan grated cheese
Macaroni (perferably rotini)
spaghetti sauce
garlic powder
oregano
parsely

The spices should last you year round.

Boil the macaroni, then heat some sauce -- add the sauce to the macaroni, mix in a pinch of garlic powder, oregano, and parsely to the macaroni - mix it into the macaroni -- then add some parmesan cheese on top -- voila! You have lunch and dinner.

Breakfast, just eat cereal.

-any kind of pasta
-pasta sauce of your choice
-crushed peppers
-salt and pepper

Boil water and add the pasta, cook till tender. Drain the water. To the tender pasta, add pasta sauce and spices and mix well. Enjoy.

pitta pizza

1 pita
some ragu/prego sauce
toppings (your choice)
shreaded cheese

take a pita bread. slap some ragu sauce over it. add toppings (onions, green peppers, whatever you like). top it all off with cheese. if you dont have shreaded cheese, take sliced cheese, make bits and pieces with your hand and sprinkle them all over the pizza. bake in the oven for 10 minutes ntil cheese melts. EAT!

yummmyyyy. like that one.

hmmm are we losing track here or the guy actually wanted something he could carry with him and eat at his uni...

not much tastes fresh or good when wrapped and eaten four hours after cooking..
