dont people use credit card in the respective country???
if so ask him to buy it through credit card n pay the minimum fees...and when he has the full amount he should pay the entire amount. otherwise ask him to go to pakistan n enroll himself in any punjab school...i heard shehbaz shahreef is giving laptops to students.
otherwise hand him her wish list of diamond ring, louboutin shoes, hermes bag and tell him to him that to get her these for her birthday (with his own money)

I haven't seen many, in fact any, desi guys do this. Girls, yes but guys? no. I think any man w/ some dignity would not be caught dead asking money from his girl for non-emergency situations. Definitely odd and possibly something that should raise red flags. Either that or he's just plain cheap. And tacky.

Well one thing is for sure he has no shame. I'd be extremely embarrassed asking money from women in general.
He also runs his own business? Clearly doesn't run it well enough or its having problems..Who knows. She could always grow a pair and ask him straight up?

He is asking money because
1) his business is not doing well. In that case, he needs to level with his fiancee about his financial problem
2) He is greedy
3) He does not know better
Each an equally good reason to dump him.

According to her, she hasn't really asked him for gifts or anything so far, and neither he has really showered her with gifts or anything.
More than anything, I would want to know what the guy really does for living? Everyone who does nothing these days would say I own a business. He definitely doesn't have money to buy his phone/laptop that's why he is asking the girl. Like others have said, she should investigate and find out what he really does for living.
Well, according to her, he has his own business where, he says, he does make lots of money, though, she says, he has responsibilities like, looking after and spending money on his parents' treatments,his sister's college fee,etc.
