Guru Nanak and Makkah

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

Chapter 10 (Yunus): Verse 93
So this day We will save thee in thy body alone that thou mayest be a Sign to those who come after thee. And surely many of mankind are heedless of Our Signs.

This is the claim made by Holy Quran about Pharaoh, and only now has his body been dug out. Do "biblical and jewish stories" mention anything about his body being saved?

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

I would love to discuss this issue with you. Once your interested do let me know.

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

man and women.

NOT nice.

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

Yes, but only his followers, not the followers of Sikhism today. there is a big difference.

Later gurus of Sikhism were in fight for their survival against a tyrant and a mad man known as Aurangzeb who’s noble services to Islam also included slaughter of Shias and eunuch. He persecuted the Hindus, destroying their temples and monuments, and gouged out his own father Shah Jahan’s eyes and tried to eliminat Baba Nanak’s followers.(well this is what happens when a mullah is incharge)

This is when these gurus parted ways from Baba Nanak’s teachings. Sikhism under these gurus adopted a clearly anti-Islamic fervour.

Muslims only eat Halal meat and animals not slaughtered in Islamic way is called “Jhatka”. Sikhs were ordered to eat only Jhatka.
5ks, Kachh (Special designed undergarment), Kara (iron bangle), Kirpaan (strapped sword), Kangha (wooden comb) & Kesh (uncut hair) were introduced by these gurus, in contrast to five pillars (pilgramage, prayer, fast, charity(zakat), Shahadah) and 5 daily prayers in Islam. Turban did not come around untill the time of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th guru.

In short, Sikhism as we see it today is not what Baba Nanak preached. There have been a lot of alterations by much lesser men.

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

There might be some changes but not that much big! Sun will remain a star. And there will be more "ard" than just earth.

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

You got your “Sawab” congratulations (and that’s all you wanted) and now let me go to the hell. Thanks.

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

I don't know how you can claim Guru Nanak was a muslim. Obviously he did not agree with it and hence went and started his own. (nothing wrong with him doing what he pleased).

He must have been a smart man since he gathered good aspects from multiple sources to create a better religion; and must have been a wel regarded leader since so many followed him.

as to his wantonly disrespecting the khabla, I do not believe that. he went to the trouble of visiting there, why would a wise man such as he want to disrespect and this bring negativity to his message?

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

What's a "khabla" my pseudo-Paki friend?

I love it when you merge Paki cricket-players names to make your id's and then pretend to pose as disillusioned Pakis/Muslims.

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

Islaam has had it's fair share of whackos as has Sikhism, Sikhs haven't exactly been angels either, it was the good luck of Punjabi/Pathan Muslims that they didn't rule for a very long time, even the small time that they did rule (wonky eyed Ranjit Singh), they persecuted us and turned our Mosques into donkey stables and heroin stores to desercrate them, during Sikh rule over Peshawar the local Pashtuns had to flee to the countryside to save their lives and honours, compare that to the way Sikhs are living as a minoirty under the protection of Pashtuns/Muslims in Peshawar/NWFP.

I'm not saying all Sikhs are like that, what I mean to say is there's black sheep in every community.

Re: Guru Nanak and Makkah

Sikhs are not allowed to alter their bodies, that includes piercings and cutting any hair (including pubic/armpit), it's called Kesh.

I personally find armpit/pubic hair a bit nauseating and it's a good job we have to remove it in our Faith as part of personal hygiene but it's their religion not to, so you should respect that.
