Lets just say that I want to loose some weight and lately I got a Weight Watchers promotion magazine in my hands and I am liking their style with points and all. So here is the question: who wants to do Weight Watchers with me? I really dont have time to go to their meetings but the point is to talk about our issues and motivate eachother ect.
Someone once posted points for desi food, just have to copy that here.
We can all start by posting our points here and motivate eachother, give tips & tricks.
Important: weight yourself only once a week, u dont have to write ur actual weight here, just say that I lost x kilos and so much more to my ideal weight.

Hi
I attend the weekly Weight Watchers meetings - I started in May 2006 but after initially losing weight, I have fallen a bit behind!
Any motivation is welcome for me, so I will join the GS WW Club.....
We'll have to suggest a weekly weigh in day - a day when we report our loss.
Re: Gupshup Weight Watchers Club - anyone can join
wannabe_a_mum, great idea, a weekly weight day. what do u suggest, right after the weekend or middle of the week?
We can really do with someone who has gone through the WW meetings.
right now i really need more info about the point system, i don’t know how much points the meal and individual food items have.

Am I eating too much?
Breakfast: Tea (no sugar) with four (small size) slices (white bread)
Lunch: 2 roties with variety of salans (as we eat in group of some 10 people - each one bringing his lunch at the office)
Dinner: Rice or roties (one and half) with salan, daal etc.
Weight: 68kg
Height: 5.4
P.S I swim almost daily for about an hour. (burn some 300 calories)!

Re: Gupshup Weight Watchers Club - anyone can join
I go to WW on Wednesday evenings - aagh today!
So shall we say lets "Weigh In" on Thursdays?
Where abouts are you?
To be honest, I don't really do Points anymore. I only did that for the first 6 months. I just try to eat healthy. I don't tend to eat big meals, but eat small amounts regularly throughout the day
I will try to dig up some of my original WW information to help you
Re: Gupshup Weight Watchers Club - anyone can join
sunset you are not overweight, my hight is almost the same as u but the weight much more, how much do u want to lose and what is your motivation? Do you want to look good or just eat healthy? I think you are eating o.k. maybe leave out mayo and substitute white bread to whole wheat bread. You sound young and at young age, u can have more food.
Wannabemum, thursday is fine, I was thinking the same :) yeah do get some information for us, I need the points to know which meal/food ithm is healthy and which to avoid. Please see if u can get a point guide for us. I think there is a formul, that I will search for.
Re: Gupshup Weight Watchers Club - anyone can join
Saadia, i guess i just want to tone up - i mean my tummy and thighs are the big problem - its a standard issue with all the women i guess and if i could get my bottom toned up too - that would be good too. I always have wholemeal - the only prob is that sandwiches are sold using white bread - maybe i should just stop eating them full stop.
And hey, i am not young - will be 27 in Dec Inshallah. So no i dont want to eat more...i'll feel guilty even more..i do treat myself from time to time to good desserts for eating healthy stuff...:o
Re: Gupshup Weight Watchers Club - anyone can join
I am in too...want to lose 6-7 kgs and tone up...I've gained weight so quick right after my shadi...its really annoying ..:( ...cant wait to get rid of it all...soon InshaAllah
