Its sad that this incident happened, but the saddest part is that many people would be more interested in knowing if the guy had any link to Pakistan or Islam.

I watched CNN, MSNBC and FOX news channels covering this news. Not once I heard anyone remotely linking the incident to muslims or islam. I may have missed it but if nothing was said then why assume the bad? If anything there was more of character profiling of clean looking, introvert white boys.

Woh kya hai? I don't get any Indian channels - but whevever I visit, I find the format of having 8-10 guests shouting over each otherquite irritating and w/o depth. So yes - me agrees with you!

As to 2nd part I assumed your post to mean aaj tak and India Tv to be same ghatiya standard as foxtv. I agreed in principle that Indian Tv that I have seen has ghatiya standard also.
Now are we clear?

On second thoughts I don't watch Indian news enough to comment on them. My only comment was on the format of certain talk shows Sher about 8 guests shout over each other. There is absolutely no news channel I have watched that makes news up like Faux News. So I withdraw my comment equsting Indian TV news with Faux News. Wont derail thread further.

John Allen Muhammad (the Washington sniper, black) wasn't called a terrorist or gang member, was he? Timothy McVeigh (white) obviously** was**..
Don't know why some ppl are tying themselves in knots over why this guy James Holmes is not being called a terrorist.. is being 'just' a killer/murderer somehow better?? What separates a terrorist from a 'normal' killer is the REASON why they commit the act..
Regardless of what the reasons were what happened in Denver is awful.. I feel so bad for the victims, esp the children, and their families..
The difference is the skin color and the religion. And yes John Allen was called a terrorist and was they were looking for an Al Qaeda link for a very long time.

Forget not being labelled a terrorist, there’s absolutely no mention of this guy’s religion in any of the news websites (BBC, MSNBC, ABC) I’ve browsed.
Compare this case with the case of Talha Ahsan, the British citizen who’s been fighting extradition to the US since 2006 for running an allegedly extremist website. No sufficient evidence as per the Crown Court, no killing/injuring someone, and yet BBC labelled him a “terror suspect”, complete with lots of juicy material on jihad and the mozlem community.
And with this douche, who’s killed and injured so many, and there’s absolutely no doubt about it, the same BBC doesn’t use the word terrorism even once or mention what religion he belongs to. Why isn’t his community being put in the spotlight now to defend their faith? It really is a BS world we live in.
So so tragic. Inna lillahe wa inna ilayhi raajiyoon. My deepest condolences for the grieving families. :hinna:

If i walk out to a local theater with an empty gun.... There is a good chance that i might not get to go to court room or anywhere beside FBI cells for rest of my life, On the other hand this weirdo shot 71 and killed 12 and he is still a suspect and he is also getting a proper trail ?

Thats his mugshot taken right after the attack. He dyed his hair & probably made that expression so his “insanity” claim will sound believable to some.
Check out his student id photo released by University of Colorado. The first ever picture released of him. You will be amazed at how “proper” he looks.

He is not a muslim so he cant be a terrorist also as he is not a muslim he is a suspect with no mention of his religion.
