Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
I don't understand all this reference to muslim and religions...isn't a bit childish to do this and compare this mindless, psychotic breakdown to ideology driven islamist attacks?

Its okay. We know your rose tinted glasses affect your ability to see reality.
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
This is what conspiracy theorist say.
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
He is not a muslim so he cant be a terrorist also as he is not a muslim he is a suspect with no mention of his religion.
Unless proven guilty by a court, he is just a suspect. That is how the law works in most parts of the world.
It is not that the suspect is sitting outside sipping beer. He has been arrested and there is the due process of the law.
Kasab might be a good example. The ***** guy is in jail awaiting the completion of his trial even though we all know what he did.
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
I came here to read latest updates but all I see is bunch of muslims whining over a non-issue. Annoying.
Agree very much. Somehow I get the feeling that there are many who are gloating that such an incident took place. so that it proves their theory that there are terrorists everywhere...

And it seems like you missed the whole point.
P.S. innocent unless proven guilty has nothing to do with discussion at hand

Nope. All those guys in GITMO and Bagram were all innocent for 4 to 6 years before they were let out. Of course innocent until proven guilty.
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
Interesting.
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
Religion prob wouldn’t be mentioned unless he was practising in some way or another (which obviously most young white guys aren’t).. You can’t compare the average young white person who prob could not care less about Christianity/religion to a practising Muslim guy who goes to mosque and say ‘why isn’t the white guy’s religion mentioned?’..
Anyway, agree with Hareem.. Am quite disappointed at how the discussion has turned out..
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
it should've somehow turned out to point some sort of blame towards desi and **muslims... **i am disappoint too
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
Maybe by the lunatic fringe but it certainly isn’t focused on by the mainstream media.. He certainly isn’t defined or known as a terrorist..
I can name another half-dozen non-Muslims who were labelled terrorists and someone has already posted a ‘Time’ magazine cover with a non-Muslim terrorist but I expect you will just ignore all that.. Again, for those with comprehansion issues, ‘just’ killing a large no of people doesn’t make someone a terrorist, it’s the REASONING behind it hence Timothy Mcveigh and several others are correctly labelled terrorists..
Seems a lot of ppl here are just trying to play with words to make themselves feel better (getting a sense of deja-vu thinking about it, anyone remember PrincessJ’s ‘non-Muslim honour killing’ thread
)..

Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
You do realize the original reporting of the case stated that it was most-likely Arab terrorists because the media focused on that right? Even the New York times followed a similar vein of reporting.
Yes he was defined as a terrorist. He was charged under terrorism laws. How can you be charged for terrorism and not be a terrorist - please explain that to me. Google the case. All his convictions were under the Terrorism laws of whatever state he was prosecuted in.
And lastly there are two different set of jurisdiction for Muslims and non-Muslims. All Muslim terrorists are held without due process and without civilian representation in military facilities. Of course with the exception of John Allen a US military vet for the Gulf war. But I have yet to see a non-muslim be charged with terrorism charges other than Timothy McVeigh.
Hell even Jihad Jane was classified as a Terrorist but held in a couple of local jails and given due process.
I will happily admit my mistake if you can find examples of people who have committed terrorism and been treated the same as Muslim terrorists in the US.
Just so you know this is also the point of view of the ACLU.
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
If you look at the Times picture of Mcveigh you will also see a fireman holding a dead baby. What was so important about that pic? The western media splashed this pic all over their newspapers the next day with the caption “In the name of Islam” and when it was proved that a christain did the dirty deed, none of these same media had the guts to apologise. They are very quick to label Muslims and Islam but very shy to point fingers at their own. Similarly I was watching BBC when the Norway bombing and killings took place and we had an “expert” who said that it was without a shadow of doubt the work was of muslim terrorist. At that time someone pointed to him that the guy arrested is white and looks Norwegian to which this “expert” replied oh they have got sophisticated, they now recruit locals. Werent they trying to make themselves feel better. Let me narrate another example of this pious media who never label muslims as terrorists without proof. If you remember Bob Woolmer died in West Indies while the world cup was on and he was the manager of the Pakistani cricket team. Pakistani team was under suspicion for a long time. I met a BBC panorama journalist who was interviewing me for a programme and the discussion off camera somehow started on Woolmer. This was long after it was proved that the terrorist Pakistani team had not killed him and that he had died a natural death. This journalist said to me that he was there in Windies when this happened and he said that he is ashamed as he was also involved along with the whole British media to desperately pin it on Pakistani team and were running stories pointing fingers at the team. So much for these high priests who you so want to defend.
Funny how western terrorists are always suspects and deranged and mentally ill never terrorists.

remember this anyone ???

that aside … it’s a horrific incident and i hope the wounds of those left behind to mourn their loved ones are healed by time … for the injured i wish them a speedy recovery and hope the overcome the mental scars this might have left on them
Re: Gun attack at Batman film premiere in Denver
Stormraiser, why don't you take it up a notch and say we're not only gloating that this incident took place but also praying that more similar incidents take place to help with our agenda against the masoom western media?
Deeba, deja vu indeed. Back when I pointed out the retarded courses being taught at the Pentagon against Islam and the muslim world, there were taunts thrown at me about how the talibans are my heroes! And now that we're simply pointing out the hypocrisy of the media, based on facts like those mentioned by CM and Ehsan uncle, not our own made up theories, us se bhi buhat takleef ho rahi hai sub ko. It's like you're either with them or one of the terrorists.
Talk about disappointments.

that's a meaningless retort. no educated person will try to equate terrorism and random breakdowns such as the Colorado one. By doing such comparisons you guys are wittingly or unwittingly providing support to islamist terrorist ideology. why don't you people get it after all these years?
