New Delhi Allegations Ridiculous: Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Sept 25: Pakistan said on Wednesday India’s allegations that Pakistan planned an attack on a Hindu temple in Gujarat state were irresponsible and would only heighten tension in the region. “These are highly irresponsible statements ,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Aziz Ahmed Khan told Reuters.

He was referring to a statement earlier on Wednesday by Indian Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani, accusing Pakistan of planning Tuesday’s attack.

“These accusations are ridiculous,” Khan said.

Two gunmen opened fire and hurled grenades at people in the vast temple complex in Gujarat on Tuesday night, killing 29 people and wounding more than 70.

One Indian commando was killed during a later assault and two policemen died of their wounds, police said, bringing the total death toll, including the two gunmen, to 33.

Advani cited a speech by President Pervez Musharraf to the UN General Assembly this month in which he referred to Gujarat.

**“This indicates they had planned this for sometime,” ** :rotfl: Advani said.

Khan said India was in the habit of rushing to conclusions and accusing Pakistan of anything happening in India even without holding a preliminary inquiry.

“Such baseless accusations will only add to heightened tensions,” Khan said. He urged India to pay attention to improving its law and order situation rather than laying blame at the door of Pakistan.

“We have strongly condemned this reprehensible attack because it was mounted on a place of worship,” Khan added.

It was a moment of pride coupled with emotions when the body of Subedar Suresh Chand Yadav, the hero of Gujarat’s Akshardham anti-terrorist operation, was brought to Delhi on Wednesday.

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, who placed a wreath on the NSG commando’s body, said Yadav made the supreme sacrifice to save innocent lives.

Brigadier Raj Seethapathy, operation commander of the NSG, also laid a wreath in honour of his lost jawan.

Forty-one-year-old Yadav lost his life while fighting against terrorists who had entered the temple. He is survived by wife and two children.

Yadav joined the army in 1979 and was a part of the 13 Mahar Regiment after which he moved to the Central Reserve Police Force.

He was sent on deputation to the NSG last year where he was part of the 51 Special Action Group.

Yadav hailed from Khankhera village in Alwar district of Rajasthan.

His body would be taken to the NSG headquarters at Manesar, Haryana on Thursday for the last rites.

I just have to say one thing, Advani and other BJP thugs need to shut the hell up and stop blaming Pakistan for all the internal instability. Our Pakistani leaders should send the same warning to India in a stern manner.

Thank you. This is helpful. I knew about Gujrat massacres and all that but all the opinion I had read were mostly from a muslim view point. I was more curious to get the view point of an Indian as to how they perceive the situation to be.

Yes.. but more than that I am blaming MODI and ADVANIs for this.They created the situation where people are desperate to do these kidna act.

I am not recommending that.I hate innocent being killed anywhere.
What I am saying is that before shouting "terorism , terrorism" ... We need to look into ourself and make sure that we dont create an environment where terrorism grows.

Tell me what are these people supposed to do when they are in a situation where first mobs surround their houses and burn them alive, Then their women, girls are raped, babies are killed in front of their eyes. They have lost everything they had, They are living in shelters without any help from govt and under fear of Mob, police and Govt.

As If this was not enough - Modi decides to start a new Gaurav Yatra, and during this gives Speeches against the Muslims and which are going to ignite the hindus furthur against already suffering muslims.

Please tell me what should they do when the govt which is supposed to protect its people, is killing them. These are the same people who were preaching 'Sarv Dharma Sambhav', What happened to that ??
