What is that really main cashew nut? dear lord .. so we eat the top which is the cashew , what happens to the rest of the fruit?

i dunno honestly, i think by the time the nut becomes harvest able, the fruit's pulp dries up and it may be used as feed to cattle. i'm NOT too sure though...it's just my guess.

we have to admit that this nut is amazing in the sense that it grows in a very peculiar and mysterious way...most nuts grow in pods/shells. this is prolly the ONLY one that is EXPOSED...Allaho Akbar! :)**
