GS Weight Watch & Workout Club

One of the biggest problem for me when it comes to working out or eating healthy is that i donot have any friend who does it with me, i work out best when i have friends doing it with me otherwise i lose innitiative.

I had the idea of doing it with you fellow guppies. A number of us could forexample pledge online to do so and so workout so many times a week and then post results everytime we do it , like how much weight we lifted to day or what we ate today etc.

Any ideas? comments ? suggestions ? anyone wanna join in ?

aye I doubt it's gonna work. Guppies are lazy bums who cant get off their fat asses, they'd rather sit on gupshup than take a refreshing walk...you think they're gonna excercise?

I bet 75% of guppies are overweight.

I think thats a general population statistic for all desis overseas :).

My routine for now is 2 miles of running and 20 mins of strenght/muscle training daily.

you know everything trust me. This is just one way to keep my mind off other concerns in life like getting a job :)

me too im in...

currently.. i walk half an hour bout 4-5 times a week... and about 10 min leg/tummy/butt exercises.... and yeah cut down on food..

currently i walk for about 4 miles or kilometers(not sure if this machine's in miles or kilometers) and i have also cut down on the junk food, and all the fried stuff :)

count me in..I workout regularly. I dont lift as much as I used to, but i do cardio and light weights with high reps.

Hmmm...well how is this gonna work ?

I started cardio followed by a workout too. I cant control my diet (im in no way FAT but i have some tires appeating on my tummy :P ) but i can workout and thats what im gonna do.

Ok injured my leg so only run 1 mile and then do about 30 mins on the elliptical - thats about 3.5 miles and then some situps and leg and arm machines. do it 6 times a week cause the gyms not open on sunday.

Food... hmmm had desi chicken and rice of lunch and yesterday it was a tuna melt. so not exactly dieting :).

I suggest we each put what we ate and what excercise we did in a day and that will keep us honest.

gotta watch ur diet first... and then exercise

the other way round is better cause the more muscle you build the more you burn.

i think females need to watch their diet more and do a bit of exercise..

A few ab muscles for guys and gal are good. Yes lets start.

Today i did 10 miles on an indoor bike riding machine (or whatever the heck they are called ) at level 6 (moderate difficulty, about 30 minutes for the 10 miles).

Then did some moderate back workout.

Now im gonna put back all them calories by eating milk and cookies :P

so how's everyone doin, whats the progress?
