That 70’s Show - Kitty Foreman
Home Improvement - Jill Taylor
Cosby Show - Clair Huxtable
Married With Children - Peggy Bundy
Simpsons - Marge Simpson
Family Guy - Lois Griffin
Everyone Loves Raymond - Debra Barone
Roseanne - Roseanne
Fresh Prince Of Bel Air - Vivian Banks
My wife reminds me of Jill Taylor, cause I keep messing up the home with my so called home improvement projects and she has to live with them
Muzna reminds me of Clair Huxtable. She is just too prompt.
Muniya reminds me of Lois Griffin. I dont know why
UZ would be Kitty Foreman, She appears to be a very submissive wife
after reading Khatti's account of twins, I declare her Debra Barone (just because of the twin factor, cause I am sure that Khatti's MIl is not that evil :D)
Khatti is more like Kitty Foreman…who is a good cook and “likes” everyone..even the Fezes of the world.
As for Claire Huxtable…there is this appeal to her…but at the the same time, I always found her a bit scary. She gives off an unapproachable business-like vibe…even in her interactions with Cliff and the kids. There’s a mystery/detachment about her that keeps Clif intrigued and on his toes…but she needs more softness.

I kind of agree. We have to understand that Cosby Show was an attempt to present African American community as educated, affluent and valuable part of society. Claire was trying to set the standards for black moms, maybe.

I know. But though she was a successful career woman...it doesn't necessarily have to mean that she display that business-like behavior in her personal life. And I know that it's a subjective matter as some might think she was fine as a wife/mom. I do agree that she had an allure to her. That smug and amused smile that would often play on her lips when she was interacting with Cliff and the kids....was charming and yet at the same time I found it lacking a motherly warmth.
I think that the "warmth" Claire's character had was of the tough-love variety in that she didn't coddle and she wasn't an enabler of weakness/self-pity, etc. And that's a good thing....especially for daughters when they're in that adolescence stage (and at other points as well). But still...I think she needed just a bit more softness.
AGREE! Oh God…Vivian Banks…I don’t even know why you included her in your list. She was not a strong character…she wasn’t all that involved in her kids’ life. It seemed that she mostly just dressed glamorously and accompanied Phil to his various events.
And to the horror of some people…I wasn’t crazy about Will Smith in the show either. The people who really carried the show were the dweeb (Carlton) and the ditz (Hillary). I liked them the best. Cuz without em…Will couldn’t be “cool.” And Carlton’s dorky dancing…that was awesome…I’d like to master that!

oh you have reminded me of a completely different era!
@TLK....you should include the mom from Everybody Hates Chris in your list. I love how every dilemma regarding her kids culminates in the warning, "I ain't raisin no baby."
Agree. I don’t understand the point of her role. She was bland, nothing really stood out about her. Maybe the creators of the show thought that there should be someone in the family that seems more “normal” because the others (Carlton, Hillary, Will) were extremes. So, maybe she was like a buffer?
