GRRRR!!! Kids!

ack. My middle son, the 3 yr old is quite the handful. If he throws his toys or uses them inappropriately (like beaning someone over the head), we put the toy in the garage for a day or so.

Now he’s telling us (and others)…that his brother is a bad boy so we should put him in the garage and lock the door. Or, that he himself was a bad boy so he gets locked in the garage. (Note, this is NOT something we’d ever do)

Smart little bugger. I guess its payback time for all the bad things I did to MY mom!

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

lol

I was reading the top line thinking the kid need to be put in the garage for a few hours...

erm...minutes then.

NO there is NOTHING wrong with cruelty to children

its character building;)

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

lol, LD! I"m just thinking with dread about when he starts pre-school in sept....imagining him telling his teachers that he gets locked in the garage when he's bad.

my goodness.

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

lol.. you guys might end up in jail... so tell him that the toy is not bad and is not being punished by being in the garage but he is being punished by not being able to play with it.... by the way does he get's upset when you take the toy from him, if not then you have to find another way to deal with him..lol...i think he is one of those really smart kids... :)

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

hahaha. Thats so funny and cute.

We were at this store on sunday when a guy walked in. He was wearing shorts and his legs looked disgusting…completely hairless and you could see each and every vein in his legs. My 3 and a half ur old neice was with us so my sister decided to comment upon the guys legs in urdu thinking she won;t understand much. So my sister says in urdu ‘look at that guys legs they look so digusting’ and my niece understanding it all immediately asks ‘which guy?’ We both started laughing and tell her we are talking about a mannequin we saw in the window and she says ‘nooooo. Youre talking about that man in the red shorts right?’ :hehe: Fortunately we were atleast 5 yards away from the guy

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

Mamaof3: Show them Toy Story 2. Kids love it. They might learn something from it as well.

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

Goodness me Lady, you just need to change the name of the garage

call it the “nice room” or “happy room” or good boy’s room" (when they come out they will come out as a good boy)

and also it doesnt sound bad when they tell the teacher

what you must have is bars across the window, no lighting and lots of creepy crawlies like snakes and stuff

as I said earlier its character building.
sometimes it amazes me that someone like me who has no children must teach people childrearing;)

ps i hope you dont have Childline in the US, if you do I sugesst you change your phone connection to incoming calls only.

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

When he misbehaves on Gupshup, could you put their daddy in the garage for a few hours?

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

LOL..... that's cute. My niece's been acting very stubborn lately. very demanding and irritating. is finding it hard to adjust with the divided attention from all cz of her new sister.

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

hahah aww gosh your sons sound so cute. I want to see their pictures!

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

lol! thx for your replies! I have SUCH a handful with these 3 ruffians, you cant imagine....the 3 yr old in particular....but then again the 18 month old insists on MaMaMAMAAMAMAMMA all DAY LONGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!

but 3 yr old well he LOVES the ladies, esp the pretty ones...we had company over the weekend, a friend brought his girlfriend. He asked me "Dada bring pretty girl for ME??"

OMG what am i in for when he's in his teenage years?????

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

"3 year old"?

bursting into laughter

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

oh i mean, abba jaan ko bhi peechay chor day ga this kid when he grows up.

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

Mama, kids are cruel, my mom often tells me how I used to lie in preschool and tell my teachers that my mother beats me and then when my mom would go for PTA meetings and stuff, everybody was awful to her.

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

TNWB, sorry, i waiting for a translation, but yeah, he's only 3 and yeah we gonna have our hands REALLY full when he's a teenager, mygoodnessgraciousme.

Toy Story?? Yup yup...the 18 month old doesnt say Mama or Dada very often but he says "Toy STow-EE stow-ee-stowee, Toy Stow-ee?????" ALL DAY LONG, little couch potato movie junkie.

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

Maybe you should start calling the garage, the 'naughty corner'. I know age 3 is a hard one. I find it harder than 2. There were no terrible twos for us, but as soon as Safia turned 3 she got an attitude. They start to test your authority and you can't let them get away with anything. I find that they actually want structure and rules and praise for doing a good job.

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

Mo3 - I take her out of here.... she is a menace whenever kids are mentioned...

Daisy - hon, there is a nice pretty thread about heels next door.... c'mon, the talk about stilletto's is amusing to say the least...... leave the kiddies alone

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

Mamaof3, did you welcome the new member to GS who has 6 kids? :D I wonder what name she has for her garage...

Re: GRRRR!!! Kids!

hmm… lemme try… i meant… “this kid will leave his daddy behind when he grows up.”

does this make sense? :bummer:
