*You morons, Pakistani bowlers had been sitting in the dressing room for around two hours, while all Indian players were warmed up due to their time in the field. Much easier to bowl when you are warmed up, samjhay jahilon?

Great match this, particularly because the bowlers had a role to play. Asif was a menace, and Misbah played really well. We need to kick vice captain sahab out of the team (who managed to kill any momentum Pakistan wanted to create) and include Hafeez in the 20/20 line up.*

Calm down boyz & girls......calm down.

Rules ARE rules...and just think how the Argentenians or Brzilians must have felt when they lost the FOOTBALL WORLD CUP due to penalty strokes or sudden death!

It was exactly the same yesterday night....and thank GOD it wasn't the final--otherwise the hurt feeling could have been far terrible.

ANYWAY...a WIN is a WIN...hence CONGRATULATIONS INDIA...be it a WIN through bowl out.........AND well done Pakistan for making yesterday's match a very romantic and historical one---the one during the commentary of which the experts on the tube were talking about the similarity of it with the SHARJAH (Miandad walla) and MUMBAI (Nehru Cup..Wasim Akram walla) matches!!!! on excitement!

On this same thread...I did speculate that this match will be a CLIFFHANGER ! and indeed it was------as was the predicted score India would make--as I said 130-140....!!

INDIA & PAKISTAN shall yet meet again....in later qualifiers...which will be even more exciting.

Good cricket all around....that's what matters!!!! not criticising each other with smileys or frowns!

A very close and hard fought match. Misbah really played a heroic innings...sadly couldnt finish it off...but this innings should silence all his critics who were constantly critisizing the PCB for picking him the 20/20 squad...and so far Misbah has done no wrong.

Also people were critisizing the PCB for sending Sohail Tanveer as the replacement for Akhtar...but the guy is definetly talented...his wrong foot action certainly decieves the batsmen and he was getting good swing as well...commentators were saying he can bat as well..so thats something to look out for as well.

^ OK Misbah played well for once but think about this

Would we not have been better off opening with Imran Nazir and Kamran Akmal >>> Younis, Yousuf and Misbah >> Afridi and Shoaib Malik>> Yasir Arfafat, Sohail Tanvir (Actor if he was available), Mohammad Asif and Umar Gul.

I don't think Salman Butt (or even Shoaib Malik) is suited to this format of cricket but what can we do they are vice-captain and captain respectively. Butt we all know takes time to get going. He scored 16 runs off 25 balls yesterday (may be ok in a normal 50-over ODI) which is just not acceptable in twenty-20.

And Malik has done nothing of note so far to justify his elevation. I have always maintained that he's an average batsman but we Pakistanis overhype him like Afridi. Hafeez is also useless and over-rated.
