No it doesn’t! Liberal extremism is created by not referring to religion at all and religious extremism is created by following some pseudo scholar. As I said Islam is a simple, straight forward, easy to understand religion. As I said Christians are dependent on their church to guide them to “haven” probably because their are so much discrepancies in their faith that they need to hide them from the general public. In contrast Islam has nothing to hide. A layman can easily understand its teachings. It comprises of two parts: 1. Quran and 2. Sunnah. What interpretation was needed by Quran has already been done by Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Even then if you have a confusion then consult someone.
In Surah Al-Baqara 67–73 Quran tells of a story of Jews who were asked to sacrifice a cow:
And remember Moses said to his people: “God commands that ye sacrifice a heifer.” They said: “Makest thou a laughing-stock of us?” He said: “God save me from being an ignorant (fool)!”
002.068 They said: “Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what (heifer) it is!” He said; “He says: The heifer should be neither too old nor to o young, but of middling age. Now do what ye are commanded!”
002.069 They said: “Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us her colour.” He said: “He says: A fawn-coloured heifer, pure and rich in tone, the admiration of beholders!”
002.070 They said: “Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what she is: To us are all heifers alike: We wish indeed for guidance, if God wills.”
002.071 He said: “He says: A heifer not trained to till the soil or water the fields; sound and without blemish.” They said: “Now hast thou brought the truth.” Then they offered her in sacrifice, but not with good-will.
002.072 Remember ye slew a man and fell into a dispute among yourselves as to the crime: But God was to bring forth what ye did hide.
002.073 So We said: “Strike the (body) with a piece of the (heifer).” Thus God bringeth the dead to life and showeth you His Signs: Perchance ye may understand.
This is a simple example. If the Jews had sacrificed any cow without getting into the details, the sacrifice would have been accepted. But they had to “interpret”!
These acts are result of pure ignorance, nothing else.
