Islam is not a job. If you think can handover your responsibilities to the Mullahs and ask them to come when you have need of them, you are wrong. This exclusive power offered by us to these Mullahs ultimately works to crack our society like an egg shell. When you consider your brain to be so underdeveloped that you cannot understand Islam that is so simple to understand tu tum nakel pari hoi gaye ki tarah, us ka malik jahan us ko le jata ha wo b pichay pichay chalti ha. Regardless if the owner is taking her to the slaughter house!

What do you think is the reason behind this turmoil facing Muslims all around the world or Pakistan for that matter? Todays Muslim are so dumb or so caught up in their lives that they don’t care to check whether what a Mullah is saying is right or wrong. This pathetic attitude is causing all this chaos. No body follows what Muhammad (SAW) taught. Today you need to identify yourself as a shia, a deobandi, a sunni, a al-hadees who has caused these divisions? These Mullahs are to blame! And Muslims who give them the power to do so!

The problem is not about having an underdeveloped brain; that argument doesn’t even make sense because then someone can say that Einstein and other non-Muslims of the genius persuasion all have underdeveloped brains because they can’t see the truth in Islam.

This way we can argue that following a messenger is having an underdeveloped brain because we just need read the Qur’an. The point is that it is a blessing to have both. We can’t possibly follow the Sunnah without our scholars, because they are the inheritors of the teachings from the chains of ulema who go back to the Sahabah and in turn the prophet Muhammad (SAW).

It is not possible for us to know whether what we are told about fiqh issues are correctly interpreted or not without having to do in depth research, however, it is possible for us to judge character and we need to use that to find those scholars who we can trust. Giving trust to a scholar is not equal to having underdeveloped brains, it is indeed the very Sunnah that led many conversions to Islam as a result of Sayyidina Muhammad (SAW) being the Trustworthy. For 40 years he (SAW) dwelt amongst the Quraish and it was his ‘trustworthiness’ that led to his fellowship. We can’t say any of the early Muslims had underdeveloped brains either can we?

Besides when Aceones was saying “layman like me” this again is out of humility. The chances are he has a good understanding about who is a good scholar and who is not, but he would like to get a second opinion to be sure and that opinion is best coming from a scholar.
