American werewolf in London was pretty scary. So was Hellraiser but that was quite a nasty film I thought.
Jeepers Creepers wasn't scary either but I liked it. I'm not sure anybody's mentioned Scream but that was great when it first came out.

I never got into that wave of teen movies like "Scream" or "I Know What You Did Last Summer". They were alright I guess, but way too commercial. I have a bad feeling that the remake of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Dawn Of the Dead" will be more like those movies. I would prefer them to be more like "House of a Thousand Corpses" though.
Movies like Scream, Others, Final Destination, Jeepers Kreepers were all good movies but no where scary.
I sawy Jeepers Creepers last year, the movie was good but the ending ruined the whole thing.

True, true. I was dissapointed with the ending for JC also, but I guess it opens the doors for the second part coming out soon.
jeepers creepers was Awsome!
The Scream trilogy were highly entertaining. They were more along the lines of comedy/thriller than pure horror.

The Others was a good movie, but I wouldn't really consider it a horror film either.

The others was psychological, atmospheric horror. Not your typical blood and gore, if thats what horror is about.
I believe "The Ring" was quite good. No horror flick has actually scared the crap out of me, but this one was pretty creepy. Dude.. a scary Pakistani movie? hehe wow. I don't know if I can even imagine that, but maybe I"m wrong.
Yeah this is also a good one. Ooooohhhhh…it was creepy. But the ending…well that messed it up. But still it is good.
Has anyone seen this Hindi horror flick.....RAAT. Revathi is the actress. It is quite scary as compared to other desi horror movies.

Was a good movie. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't that a "made for TV" movie?
Maula Jutt in London - A bleeding Sultan Rahi and dundaasa holding Mustafa Qureshi freaked the living daylights out of me.

IT was very good considering the majority of Stephen King movies are not that scary. There was another Stephen King movie on t.v. about 3 years ago about the devil who shows up in a small American town making everyone go crazy. That was also good!

The majority of his films are made for TV I think. I recall that one also, I can't remember the name of it though.
The best Stephen King movie was probably Salem's Lot (good book as well). Pet Semetary was ok too, and there was one I saw at the theatre called Sleepers which wasn't too bad.
I'm a horror movie buff, soooo here are some of my picks:
1) The Thing (absolutely amazing even now!)
2) Evil Dead
3) Alien (I know it's sci-fi but part one is realll scary, two is more of action horror flick) on that note Pitch Black is also scary/sci-fi/action
4) House (not great but worth a watch)
5) Does Predator count?
6) Omen 1 and 2
7) Excorcist: Now by todays standards it's not scary, but it has a very deep meaning to it.
8) Jaws!!!!!
9) Night of the Living Dead?
10) There were 3 remakes of the Puppet Masters, I forget their names, but they are all pretty spooky
11) Nightmare on Elm Street 1-3?
12) Scream was a variant on the old style slasher flicks
13) Sixth Sense?
I wouldn’t consider “Predator”, “Jaws” or “Sixth Sense” horror movies. But those you mentioned above are :k: . “Night of the Living Dead” 1968 version is one of my favorite Zombie movies. Scream was reminiscent of the old slasher films, true, but you can’t beat the slasher films of the 80’s. The fact that they were low budget B movies gives them that uniqueness. Good choices :k:
The Shining
It
Rose Red
Christine
Carrie
Salem’s Lot
Cujo
Silver Bullet
Final Destination
The Awakening
Blair Witch Project
The Ring
Scream
I Know What You Did Last Summer
Tremors
