Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

The following fatwa is found on the Official Website of Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Shahroudi (http://www.shahroudi.net/) He is one of the Maraje’ (top scholars) of the Shia, and he teaches at the Islamic Seminary at Qum. Not only this, but here he admits that there are authentic Shia Hadith which prove that the Infallible Imam of the Shia would curse the Prophet’s wives after each prayer, five times a day. So how can the Shia have the audacity to dismiss the fact that cursing the Prophet’s wives is a part of their faith?

Please note how the Grand Ayatollah allows the cursing but it must be done in such a way as not to reveal the Taqiyyah that is being done in front of the Sunni masses. Perhaps this will wake up those Sunnis who are fooled by the Shia lies when they say that they do not curse the Prophet’s wives or Sahabah. This comes from the mouth of the Grand Ayatollah himself.
All of the quotes on this page are found on the following page off of the Grand Ayatollah’s website:

**سؤال 50 : هل يجوز لعن بعض اُمهات المؤمنين مثل السيدة عائشة لمعصيتها للرسول ولخروجها على إمام زمانها ولإعلانها العداء لأميرالمؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب(عليه السلام) سواء بالتصريح بالاسم علناً أو **

Question 50: Is it permissible to curse some of the Mothers of the Believers, such as lady Aisha for her disobedience of the Prophet, declaring war upon the Imam of her time, and showing enmity towards Amir al-Mu’minin Ali ibn Abi Talib, either (cursing her) explicitly with her name or implicitly?

Answer: It is permissible to curse all those who showed enmity towards Amir al-Mu’minin (Ali), al-Zahra, or the Imams. And why not after the oppression (they faced) and the fighting against them? Except (do not curse them) if there is fear of being harmed. And it is also mentioned that Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) used to curse eight (of them) after all his prayers.

Question 51: My Habibi, my question is regarding the cursing that is found in the Dua’s of the Ziyarat of Ashura, and I talk in particular about the cursing of: the First (Abu Bakr), the Second (Umar), the Third (Uthman). Is it part of the Ziyarat and has it been reported by the Infallible (a.s)? Or has it been rejected? And did the Imams from Ahl al-Bayt allow the cursing of these three and did they say the person who does it is rewarded?

Answer: Yes, cursing is permissible in the Ziyarat of Ashura. Repeat it hundreds of times. It has been reported that the Imams cursed and this was not just the cursing of the oppressors of Ashura, but repeatedly (others as well). And this is found in a lot of similar Hadiths. And yes, the cursing must not be done in a matter to reveal the Taqiyyah.

thanks its an eye opener for all of us.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

I actually have this video recording of a shia imaam ( Talib Johri ) reciting funny and insulting poetry about Sahabas...in a shia imaam bargah. I can post it....but then I fear that it would be too much to hear...and admins will delete it.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

Post it.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

Allaah guide all the muslims. I have nothing to say as Muslim, I just wanna know whether the shias do this Yes or No. Without any explanation

Ameen.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

I am shia, neither me nor my family does this...

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

As if nothing else was needed, the writers in the official site of the two Shia, Grand Ayatullahs “Imam Muhammad Shirazi” and “Sadiq Shirazi” have a new theory: That the Companions like Abu Bakr, Umar, and the others, were personally guilty of the Prophet’s death by adminsitering poison to him 5 days before he died.

Writing about the “Martyrdom of Lady Fateemah” they say:

http://www.shirazi.org.uk/fatimiyyah.htm

***The final messenger of Allah to humanity – the holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his pure family, had been the target of many assassination attempts, which thankfully failed to materialise. In their relentless endeavour to eliminate the prophet of mercy to mankind, the forces of evil eventually succeeded to murder the Messenger of Allah by poisoning. The first signs of the fatal illness appeared on Thursday 24th Safar, 11 Hejri, after the poison was administered to him the day before. By Monday 28th Safar the prophet succumbed to death. ***

***For three days, the shocked and grief-stricken citizens of Medina in turn offered prayers, and on the third day of his death, the body of the holy prophet was buried. ***

However, the Prophet’s assassins did not waste much time to embark on yet another murderous campaign – this time on the Ahl-al-Bayt – the Household of the murdered prophet.

and they continue by saying:

***So within a week, this new ‘caliph’ and his thugs managed to facilitate the murder of the Prophet Muhammad, his beloved daughter Fatima al-Zahra’, and his unborn grandson Mohassen!!! ***

Even to hardened readers of Shia nonsense, I think this will come as a surprise… Or maybe not, looking at the evolution of Shias throughout the centuries.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

Another famous shia website www.al-islam.org on Ummhat ul Mumineen.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

Agreed with you, coz if you have to visit the website nothing is clear, I am not supporting the shia's but the way its told by the scholars, its as if a norm to abuse them.

I dont know whether you respect them or not, in that case do we as muslims keep abusing Abu Jahl, hopefully no, but well, if this is the truth its shocking not coz they Ayesha, Abu bakr and Umar are great stalwarts for sunnis but because as a muslim, you are forbidden to bad mouth period.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

These are sayings of not just any ol' shia scholar, but a Shia marje one who has authority to issue rulings. It is wajib for Ithna Asharis to do taqleed to a particular marja, there are couple of dozen in the world right now.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

In a Hadith, the Holy Prophet :saw: said, that whoever curses my Sahaba has cursed me…

And what kind of a Muslim can be a friend or brother to someone who curses the Holy Prophet :saw:…

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

what is marje?

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

Anyway there are all kinds of shias and sunnis, fanatic and moderate. We cannot classify all in one group. I know sunnis who curse Ahle-bait, now I can open threads spreading hatred for them but I won't because I know they just represent a fraction of that sect and not the entire sect. For past week or so I have seen people opening threads left and right against shias, googling whatever they can find that would support their argument and clumping all in one group. This should also come to an end.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

A marjah is the highest authority on religion and law in Shiism. Where a difference in opinion exist between the Marjah, Aalims (Religious Scholar) try to provide different opinions. Four senior Grand Ayatollahs [Ayat Allah] constitute the Religious Institution (al-Hawzah al-`Ilmiyyah) in Najaf, the preeminent seminary center for the training of Shiite clergymen.

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

O Yeah and where you people hide this hadith/concept when you find Sahaba’s cursing/abusing/fighting eachother, specially against Ali bin Abi Talib [as]. Why your tongue get stiched when it comes to the cursers/abusers/haters of Ali bin Abi Talib [as] that includes Muawiyah, Marwan, Mughira bin Shuba, Hariz bin Uthman al Himsi, Kathir bin Shahab, Asad bin Wada’a, Lemazeh ibn Zabar Al-Azdi, Azhar bin Abdullah bin Jam’i al Hirazi etc etc ??? Instead of condemning them and applying the rule which you want to apply on Shias, your piooner ones have taken Hadeeth from these Nawasib and not only that but have praised them by giving them religious accolades like Thiqa, Thabt etc.

Double Standards!!!

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

AOA!

First of all let me clarify some points and then I will look at the topic in debate.

1) Prophet (pbuh) said " is there any one who can shut mouth of this DOG"

these words were used for Abi abdwad a great kafir fighter, who was challanging muslims in the war of Trnches ( khandaq), riding his horse along the trench and cursing Allaha (swt) and muslims and so on.
No we all know that calling some one DOG is bad and is a curse, then why?
I will not go further on this issue.

2) quran say " lanat-u-Allah " alal kazibeen ( jhooto pay allaha (swt) kee laanat.

3) Why we curse "Shaitan " ? ( while we are muslim and we should not curse any one).

So my Bro's

a) cursing is bad and islam asks us to refrain from doing so but exception is there.
c) quran has " o wives of prophet be ............................. or I can change u with better wives for phrophet.......................and remember the wives of Lot and Noah (AS) , who are among the Jahanamis" umulmomineen Ayesha and Hifza ]
d) Hadith from phrphet says " Bughz ( Alaha or rasool kee) us say jo Ali say rakay or mohabat (Allah or rasool kee) us say jo Ali say rakay.

Conclusion:

1)Bad word(s) is a dependent variable but better to refrain from
2) when shia uses these words they use it as " Allaha kee lanat uss/on pay jo Ali kay dushman hay ya tay" , if u beleive they were not then y r u thinking of them
3) following sunna that " Bughz for those woh keep for Ali.........." so do u suggest us to stop following Hadit/sunna.
4) history shows that maawia started it during his reign from the " Memeber-e-rasool" against Ali ( so it is the PATH of sahaba)

request: please refrain from posting and initiating these kind of threads as they result in hate for each other

take care and khuda hafiz

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

Disagreements, arguments, differing POVs between the Sahabas :razi2: is something else…They can do it…But to think that coming generations can cast a speck of doubt upon the Sahabas :razi2: is just not part of Islam…That is verified by Ahadith and Quran…

One Muawiyah :razi: is better than all Muslims put together including all your Imams that come after the Sahabas because Muawiyah :razi: was a Sahabi…And that’s enough for me…

And if someone comes along and starts cursing and abusing those who sacrificed or were willing to sacrifice their lives for the Deen in a time when Islam began, then I have a problem believing him as being a Muslim…

When a scholar of supposed Islamic oreintation declares that all the Sahabis were apostates except three, then it’s not a matter of sadness or anger…It’s a matter of shame and ridicule…Even the fake Prophet Ghulam Ahmad from Qadiyan had more followers than three…So basically, Shiaism casts doubts upon the leadership of the Holy Prophet :saw: and the power of his teachings and those that followed him…Every prophet had more than 3 followers left after him…Does Shiaism claim that the Holy Prophet :saw: was an ineffectual and bad leader that immediately after his death his followers left him?

You are welcome to follow a Prophet whom your faith tells you left only 3 followers…The faith I profess to follow believes that the people that followed my Prophet :saw: numbered in the hundreds of thousands and each one a willing and able slave of Allah :swt: ready to lay down their lives for even the tiniest matter of right and wrong…Such was the teaching of my beloved Prophet (saw) left an undying legacy in the hearts and minds of his followers…

Not the kind of Prophet you make him out to be whose followers abandoned the true path when he died…

How can any non-Muslim think of following a religion whose own people left its teaching after the death of its prophet as Shiaism claims…

No way man…The light of Islam burned in the hearts and minds of thousands and thousands of his followers with the same fervour that it did when the Holy Prophet (saw) was alive…They carried the Quran and the teachings of the Holy Prophet (saw) in their hearts and minds and it is due to their sacrifices that we have Islam and I am now a Muslim…

You guys don’t even believe in memorizing the Quran because it’s fake and the real one is with the Ghayb Imam…If it was for you guys, we wouldn’t have the Quran…

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

may Allah curse those who are against the family of the Prophet :saw: and the righteous companions of the Prophet:saw:

:lahol:

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

Ameen…

But what about those who are against the Prophet :saw:?

I should curse them them too, but it’s no use…They cursed themselves…

Re: Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah

Anyone who is thinking really hard about this needs to find something else to do with their time. What difference to you does it make if some quack of an Imam is telling people to insult the family members and some of the followers of the Prophet?

Was the Prophet a Shia or a Sunni?

Yep, so follow the Quran, read it and try to understand it, and try to get some knowledge from the history of Islam. But why sweat it if some freak is cursing Aisha (R) and company? Does it mean all Shias are bad people and they all do this stuff? Probably not. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

There are extremist nutty Sunnis out there too. So what is your response to them?

Whatever happened to the middle road?
