Re: Govt provided faulty jammers: Benazir (26th Dec)
Obviously she was going to get killed. No security agency in the world could have came up with a fool proof method. Even USA and Israel have a hard time thwarting suicide attacks, not to mention that terrorists were hell bent on killing Bhutto. I'm not arguing whether or not she should have went on such huge public rallies and gatherings. If she thought it necessary for her campaign than that was her prerogative. But to ignore constant warnings by the government and still blame the government for lack of security is a bit too much in my opinion.
And you still haven't proved how these alleged dysfunctional jammers caused her death. If she were to be killed today because of a remote control bomb than yes, her allegations regarding the jammers would have been validated but that is not the case (unless I'm missing something).
As for the topic of pointing the finger at government, its sad that you fail to see the continuation of an ever-present pattern. When has the opposition not blamed the government? For each and every action, the government has had to face wide spread criticism by every individual with a mic in front of the face. For every significant issue, the government is placed at fault. It really is a no win situation for them. The Lal Masjid debacle was the perfect example of that. There is no way that the government could have handled that situation that pleased everyone in the opposition.
Youre not very smart. I didnt say faulty jammers caused this, and if you bothered to read this, the faulty jammers were provided to her 'before' the 27th, its the intention of the Govt thats under credibility now. The Govt wanted her out of the way, and thats what Im trying to prove. Now instead of coming up with lame remarks like me being a PPP supporter or being biased, come up with something smart or dont contribute to this topic. And lastly, its the Governments job to provide security to the most popular leader in the country, be it against them, and if they fail to do so, they are held accountable for that.
