I have been told that its already available on Rogers Digital Cable starting from 1st of August. They said they are watching it.

gotcha news: ARY Digital will be launched on 14 august '03 in USA
Just read the add in the local urdu paper. ARY Digital will begin it's transmission in the U.S. on 14th august 2003 on dish network. The subscription fee is $14.99 a month. However, if you subscribe a package of both Prime and ARY then it's $24.99. Can't wait till 14th Aug.

i believe sinse coming under new management ary digital ( formerly known as the pakistani channel) has done pretty well so i'm thinking of subscribing to them to see wat they're like.....
ary is not that good. the best program is kay aap benay gain cororpati (sorry bout my spelling). the bad thing about ary is it never runs on time :(.
Gohan, I havent seen any ads on dishnetwork?? Do you know what channel number is it going to air on, or would we have to wait for those new 'dishes' that teaser was talking about and posted some pictures of?
I just went on their website & found nothing stating that they will be starting in U.S.

The two threads for ARY Digital have been merged....so let me clarify that I am talking about Rogers Digital Cable which is available only in Canada.
I think it was the same deal with Prime TV first aired in USA.
They really don't make announcements.
So does anybody know if ARY shows cricket.
I called Dish Network and they said as of now they show no channels added on August 14th.

Yeah they do show cricket but only small tournements. They dont show the world cup as Sky do. hope that answers ur question.
Yahooo ARY Digital will be launched on 14th of August and ARY Digital is going to show PAK vs Bangladesh cricket series. Yahoooooooooooooo. BTW I don't know if its going to air in USA but I heard it is going to aired in Canada.
Spock the SAT for those new dishes was launched on Aug 7th at 11:31 PM. But I am not sure when they are going to start providing the channels.

Will it be shown on regular sattelites, current one which shows Prime TV.
I went to their website, they didn't have a single thing about cricket.
The fact that ARY shows cricket matches is enough for Dish Network not to allow this channel in their line-up. Dish makes tons of money showing cricket as pay-per-view. This is analogous if a new channel starts up and shows all the pay-per-view movies for $15 A MONTH.

Do those sats work with our IRDs or not?? Btw, any news on where we can buy those dishes?
