my aunt is white…and she has been here in pak for more than 30 years but she still says “yahan” with an emphasis on “n”…
but she is adorable!

I once casually bumped into a white police officer who spoke urdu. It was the shock or surprise of my life, not sure which.

i don't know what r u talking about , i have seen many goras speaking urdu as fluently as we do. i have even seen black speaking urdu and trust me they can speak much better than us. more like AQ bahi (urdu litreature) and they can write urdu. :p

In college, the professor who taught Urdu, Punjabi, and Pakistani literature was a white, American lady who was married to a Pakistani man.
I never actually took a course with her...just a placement test so I could get credit for the Urdu I already knew...but she actually spoke very well. I remember seeing her around campus dressed in shalvar qameez all the time too :)
