Now I am a born again muslim. I am not into it anymore. But in my initial days in US I worked at burger joints in Californa , with lots of chikano young men and women around me , the only thing I used as a salution instead of mr. miss. amigo , friend, all I used were all the galyian of Urdu and Punjabi , the , manager was a Pakistani too he did not mind he enjoyed it . All those boys and girls used those words too and enjoyed it all. now there are couple of funny stories about it all.
- One of chikano women worker who had kids came to me and told me out of her frustration with her kid behaving badly at home she called him matherch**. I was laying on the floor laughing.
- Then this manager hired one girl from Pakistan. So we used to behave when she was around . Once she came to me and told me aap bohat ganday hain main to aap ko bohat shareef admi samajhtee thee , main nay kaha kia ho-a she said one of the mexican girls asked me meaning of one of the words you taught her I did not know so I went home and asked my husband which turned out to be a punjabi galee ...........................
