When I see numbers like this of how many companies are worth more than a lot of countries, I imagine if we were to one day go back to the days when countries were run by companies for the profit of their shareholders (Hudson's Bay Company in Canada and the USA; East India company in the subcontinent).
Would corporate government lead to a more prosperous country than corrupt democracies or tinpot dicatorships?

Not really. Look what happened to the East India Company. They used their security forces to very successfully put down the people in the aftermath of 1857; but the British Government then decided that the Company's activities led to instability that threatened national security and nationalised it.
Obviously, any corporation has to be incorporated somewhere and it will always be subject to the laws of that country.

The value of the company is $218 billion, Pakistans GDP is 437 billion. in 2003 private shares of google were valued at 49 cents, today shares of the public stock passed $700. Insane growth, not to mention the company name became a global verb almost overnight.

Pakistan's GDP is around $125 billion a year.
Google's networth is around $223 billion today.
$437 billion may be total networth of Pakistan - meaning if one has to buy all the land, cattle, companies, cars, furniture, including watches and clothes that 150 million people are wearing in pakistan it would cost him about $500 billion.
US GDP is around $13 trillions and its networth is around $55 trillions. (about 110 times of pakistan)
whole world's networth is around $200-250 trillions.
