Notorious, yes, I get very nervous. So, it’s nice to know you’ve been there, done it and survived!
Are you married? Yes, all women do learn to cook for their husbands. And nasty aunties do say and think you’re not ready for marriage if you haven’t learned to cook yet (speaking from experience).
If in-laws are living with you and/or more family, then that’s where this might not be plausible - hubby and I cooking and in-laws watching.
If we live on our own, I’m sure I’d feel better about the whole thing.
As for shows, cook books - all this stuff just goes over my head - I’ve no idea what they’re doing or talking about. I’m starting to watch my mom cook and try helping her - hoping to pick up on things. So far, I’m still stuck on the use of haldi.
My biggest fear, AE. Hate that saying now!!!
I’ll feed him, I know I will - but when he takes a bite and goes, uh, that’s enough - I’ll be heartbroken.
Agreed.
One of the hardest parts. But, good upper-arm excercise.
