This is exactly why good deeds and God worship are not synonymous. Good deeds can happen without explicit worship or even without belief in God.
Sanathana Dharma therefore lays stress on Karma - the understanding of deeds - their cause effect. It even indicates that neglecting once karma even for God worship is no no good at all.
Wow! I am so much more prouder of our Dharma, look at how advanced and precise that wisdom is, even for seemingly complicated philosophic arguments such as this!

Of course good deeds and worship are not synonymous, that is why good deeds done with no purpose or without involving God in those intentions renders those deeds useless for the Hereafter. They may however be beneficial in this world, which is where the concept of Karma is limited to.
It is interesting that you bind God in subservience to the concept of Karma. To a Muslim that would seem you are appointing Karma as a god over God.
