do you guys really think that the TTP problem is over in Pakistan? sadly and unfortunately, i don’t think so. if military power was the answer/solution, the Americans, with their military might and sophisticated weaponry, would have solved the problem a long time ago. they could not do what they set out to do…what does that mean? it means Talibans can NOT be defeated by military actions alone.

what i think is that there has either been a deal between the army and the Taliban or, when squeezed like a balloon, they popped up on the other side of the Pakistan-AfGhanistan border.

they are waiting for the big game after the US leaves the area. it’s just a lull in the fighting to rearm, reorganize and regroup.

I think, if army is sincere than TTP problem is over. If they would raise their head again, it would be much easier now to crush it.

As for comparing Pakistan army with American army when dealing with Taliban problem, then that would be not only unfair, but ignorance too, as both have different chemistry.

Pakistan army is much more suited to deal with Taliban, as Pakistan army is of the area and also understand Physiology of these terrorists (Taliban). Area of operation was difficult for American forces, but is backyard for Pakistan armed forces. And most important thing is that, Taliban can find local, ethnic, national and religious support when fighting Americans, but could not find local, ethnic, national, and religious support fighting with Pakistan army.

Plus, it is easy to get financial support locally for Taliban when fighting Americans … but when fighting Pakistan armed forces, it would be difficult for them to get financial support too.
