As can be seen by my post count, I am new to gupshup. A friend informed me it as a good place to get in touch with my Pakistani roots, especially since I am a second-generation Pakistan who has never set foot in his nation.
I guess a little basic information is in order and I hope you will also provide some information so I can be better acquainted with my fellow posters.
My name is Ibrahim Barkat, Abby for short, 25 years old and male as can be seen by my name. I have no clue on what else I need to say, so here goes nothing.
I am a second generation UNite, meaning my dad worked for the UN and I do also. I am in the US presently, but hope to get transferred soon.
I am 5 9 and weigh around 80 kilograms.
I have no idea what else needs to be stated, so please feel free to ask me any questions and I look forward to having an interesting experience here.
Hey WelKum To gupshup !!! Stick around n get to know people.. its fun n entertainin n informativ.. n lots of other stuff i cant rememeber rite now ! :D
salaams, welcome to the gupshup.....u know what when i came i never introduced myself? whoops....well erm welcome to gupshup anyway....
hehe its a good laugh and everyone's really friendly!
Did u know that Abrar ul haq uses IB as his net signature and initials?? And the fact that u do as well is pretty cool…I KNOW I’ll get along with U!!! lol
My best friend's name a few years back was Abby so I'll always think of that tall blond girl whenever I see your name.
You left out some vital information in your intro. Blood type, donor, SS#, credit cards info, home address, and your picture. Go quickly to the Image gallery and post one up soon! Hurry!!!
;)
Don't worry if you don't know much about the paki culture, most people are clueless here anyways.
Enjoy gupshup. Its the blind leading the blind. :)
With such a name you're always welcome. You got the same name as my father.
What you wrote about yourself was too brief for us.
You have to write a brief history about your personal life, like we all here did. Thats the best way to integrate.
Now that is how someone feels welcome and now I know I need to get in touch with my roots, as I have no idea who is Abrar ul haq.
Miss Muzna, Miss Aleezay, Miss/Mr. Pilot 25 and Mr. Khan_Sahib thank you all for the warm welcome.
Miss Muni, my name is Ibrahim, but in English it is Abraham, so I got the pet name of Abby from there. It is much easier on the people here plus I use it as it better than being called Ibby.
As for information, well there is one big thing I will not do, and that is posting my picture. Never do that, especially after one of friend’s picture ended up in an extremely exposing site. I know I am not a female but I rather not take the chance. The net is not safe and I don't feel comfortable giving out too much information on the net.
However to point out I don't have an SS#, as I am not American. Yes I have lived in the American community for a number of years but I have lived around the world with various multi-national groups. I don't think or want to limit myself to just one group of people.
Yes I am a Pakistani from my parents, but I know very little about the nation or its people, so I don't think it is right for me to call myself a Pakistani.
Mr. pathwari what exactly would you like to know about my life, and I would feel more comfortable if other people reciprocated.
Miss Cat-woman i am presently in New York, but i would like to be posted abroad. If you do need a job i could help you out but i would require your resume and additional details.

Ibby, Can I call you Ibby (that sounds very cute) that sounds very familiar, I wonder if I have some sort of cousin with that name... , I like Ibby better than Abby, or you know u should go by Abe. I'm not questioning whether you're a guy or girl. I really doesn't matter.
don't be too serious! I was just kidding, that's why I wrote out that silly little list of things. By the way, u still haven't told us your blood type and you blood pressure , etc....
Miss Muni, if you wish you can call me Ibby, however i don't like abe, sounds to much like ape.
As for relaxing it is not possible to do so as i am at work presently.
And to Miss babydoll, Mr. Waleed, and Miss Anmool thanks you very much for welcoming me here.
